As Executive Vice President of Global Distribution for AMC Networks International, Ed Palluth oversees the Company’s global distribution efforts and leads the development of distribution strategies and revenue objectives across Asia, Europe, Latin America and Africa. He was promoted to this post in May 2014.
Palluth was an integral part of the team that launched Sundance Channel Global and WE tv Asia and has been central to their continued growth. Sundance Channel Global is now available in Canada, Europe and Asia; and WE tv is available in Asia.
A seasoned affiliate sales and marketing executive, Palluth has more than 27 years of cable industry experience. Prior to joining AMC Networks International, he led AMC Networks Inc.’s advanced platform distribution efforts, which included extending the reach of AMC Networks brands to video offerings such as on demand and mobile.
During his tenure with AMC Networks, Palluth has held a number of affiliate sales and marketing positions with escalating responsibility. Through the years, he has played a central role in negotiating major programming agreements with MSOs and was a key contributor to growing the subscriber base for a number of AMC Networks brands, including AMC, Bravo (now owned by NBC), IFC and WE tv. Palluth joined AMC Networks in 1993 as a regional director.
Palluth earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Texas. He is a member of the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM), CTAM Europe, the USA Film Festival and Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT). He is also active in his local community, including local parks development and his community soccer association. Palluth is married and has four children.
