AMC Appoints Marci Wiseman Senior Vice President of Business Affairs

New York, NY – June 24, 2010 – AMC announced today the appointment of Marci Wiseman as senior vice president of business affairs. In this role, Wiseman oversees all business affairs for AMC, with a focus on original programming and production, licensing deals with AMC studio partners, and strategic business relationships for AMC in the distribution, marketing and co-production arenas. She also oversees the making of key deals relating to digital and new media. Wiseman is based in Los Angeles and reports to Charlie Collier, president and general manager of AMC.

Her creative and strategic abilities combined with her business acumen will serve the network well as we expand our original programming slate and invest in our movie library, while continuing to deliver on our strategy of creating premium television on basic cable," said Collier.

While running her own company, Wiseman and Associates, Wiseman’s major clients ranged from broadcast and cable networks as well as television studios, major independents and production companies in both scripted and reality television. Before that, she was president and chief operating officer for Leeza Gibbons Enterprises, a production company at Paramount Studios, and previously served as senior vice president, business & legal affairs at Pressman Films and vice president, business affairs at Columbia Pictures. She started her career as an associate at O’Melveny & Myers.

Wiseman received her law degree from New York University and earned her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University where she currently serves as Chairman of Georgetown University’s Alumni interview committee. She also volunteers as a college counselor for students at Place Called Home, and is actively involved in raising funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
