LONDON, 20 February 2017 – AMC Networks International, a subsidiary of AMC Networks Inc. (NASDAQ: AMCX), announced today the following executive personnel changes:  Kevin Dickie joins the company in a newly created role as Senior Vice President, Channels Group, UK, MEA and Poland; Levente Málnay will take on the role of Senior Vice President, Channels Group, CE and NE; and Tanya Gugenheim will assume the role of Senior Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions and Business Development.

Kevin will report to Mike Moriarty, President, AMC Networks International CE and UK. Company veterans Levente and Tanya will also continue to report to Moriarty.

Kevin Dickie, SVP, Channels Group, UK, MEA and Poland

As SVP, Channels Group, UK, MEA and Poland, Dickie will spearhead content and brand strategy for the region’s portfolio of twelve channels led by AMC, SundanceTV and CBS Studios International joint venture channels CBS Reality, CBS Drama, CBS Action, CBS Europa and Horror Channel. He will oversee programming, scheduling, production, marketing, creative services, communications and technical operations.

“We are very excited to have someone of Kevin’s calibre bring his dynamic skill set and exceptional strategic vision to AMCNI, that will undoubtedly help build on our company’s successes, and take each of our businesses to the next level across the UK, MEA and Poland.” said Moriarty of the appointment.

An industry veteran with 20 years’ experience, Kevin arrives from Scripps Networks Interactive where he was SVP, Channels Group for the UK and EMEA. Previous to his role at Scripps, Kevin served at Discovery Networks in a variety of roles for over 15 years, the most recent being SVP, Content Group, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific. He oversaw the region’s portfolio of brands including Discovery Channel and Animal Planet.

Dickie will begin at AMCNI at the end of February and will be based in London.

Levente Málnay, SVP, Channels Group, Central and Northern Europe

Levente Málnay will expand his current responsibilities overseeing the company’s Central Europe portfolio to include management of the company’s channel portfolio in Northern Europe.

Málnay has been with the company since 2009 and he has led the CE channels through exponential growth, driven by regional launches of AMC and a growing portfolio of sports assets. Prior to AMCNI, Málnay produced the first ex-US original production for HBO – a stand-up comedy show in 1995 – and launched the first Hungarian music television station Z+ in 1997, which was acquired by VIVA in 2000. When VIVA was further sold to MTV Networks in 2003, he became VP, MTV Networks Emerging Markets.

Tanya Gugenheim, SVP, Mergers & Acquisitions and Business Development

Formerly Chief Business Development & New Media Officer, Tanya Gugenheim in her new role as SVP, M&A and Business Development will be responsible for all activities related to the implementation of Group Corporate Strategy including the formation and management of strategic alliances with a focus on the maximisation of long term value. She will continue to be part of the team leading negotiations for the Group’s successful joint ventures with CBS Studios International in the UK and across EMEA. Gugenheim has been with the company since 1999.

As a CBS Partnerships Board Member, Gugenheim oversaw the launch of the CBS UK channel portfolio on DTT in 2014 and she was instrumental in the acquisition of Horror Channel in the UK in 2005.

“Levente and Tanya have been instrumental in the growth of our CE and UK regions and I very much look forward to continue to work with them in their new, expanded roles,” said Moriarty about Málnay and Gugenheim’s promotions.
