MIAMI, FL – 15 November 2017 – AMC Networks International (AMCNI) – Latin America announced the launch of its flagship channel, AMC, on NET and Claro TV, one of Latin America’s leading telecommunications services system and a property of Claro Brasil.  Thanks to the agreement, AMCNI – Latin America will add more than six million new subscribers, expanding its presence in Brazil and confirming its position as one of the region’s fastest-growing Pay TV companies.  NET and Claro TV subscribers will be able to enjoy AMC’s lineup of original series and films starting 16 November.

“This agreement emphasizes our commitment to the Brazilian market and our goal of bringing AMC’s acclaimed original series to Brazilian viewers.  AMC, our flagship channel, is a trendsetter in the Latin American pay television market and one of the fastest growing networks in the region,” commented Eduardo Zulueta, President of AMC Networks International Iberia & Latin America.

“The launch of AMC brings to our subscribers access to exclusive content and original productions that will be available on demand by the NOW APP, on different devices. The customers will be able to take their favorite shows to be watched anywhere, anytime of the day,” said Fernando Magalhães, Programming and Content Director of Claro Brasil.

For years, original storylines and exceptional production values have been the pillars of AMC’s success at the global level. More recently, AMC Networks’ flagship channel has made a name for itself as the creator of some of the most original, successful and talked-about productions on contemporary television, including “Fear the Walking Dead,” “Into the Badlands,” and “The Son,” titles that have redefined the way stories are told on Pay TV.  These and other series, such as “The Terror” premiering in 2018, reinforce AMC’s reputation for quality and innovation and make good on its promise of bringing the Latin American market top productions that have gained acclaim around the world.
