AMC Networks Names Bruce Tuchman President, AMC/Sundance Channel Global and MGM Channel Global

New Role Expands Tuchman’s Oversight to Include Programming, Marketing and the Strategic Development of the Company’s MGM Channel

NEW YORK, NY – April 3, 2014 – AMC Networks announced today Bruce Tuchman has been named President, AMC/Sundance Channel Global and MGM Channel Global. In addition to his current role overseeing AMC/Sundance Channel Global, Tuchman takes on the additional responsibility of leading the programming, marketing, and strategic development of the company’s MGM Channel, which is programmed and distributed in multiple languages and reaches over 130 countries and territories.

Responsibility for sales, scheduling and operations for MGM Channel will remain with the AMCN Chellomedia business units that currently operate the Channel – Chello Central Europe, Chello Latin America, Chello Multicanal and Chello Zone. Tuchman will coordinate with these divisions and work closely with them to further develop the MGM Channel brand.

Tuchman will continue to be based in AMC Networks corporate headquarters in New York and will continue to report to Ed Carroll, AMC Networks Chief Operating Officer.

“Bruce has done a great job building Sundance Channel into a global brand and this new role allows us to take advantage of his long history with MGM,” said Carroll.

MGM Channel showcases hand-picked offerings from the famous Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer library, Hollywood’s largest modern film library, as well as content from other leading international studios and distributors.

Tuchman joined AMC Networks in 2011 from MGM Worldwide Networks, a division of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, where he developed and managed MGM’s interests in cable, satellite and other television networks. He also supervised MGM’s interests in pay movie channel joint ventures amongst MGM and several other major motion picture studios.

Tuchman came to MGM from MTV Networks, where he served as General Manager of Nickelodeon Global Network Ventures and Senior Vice President, Nickelodeon New Media Ventures developing and overseeing branded Nickelodeon channels across Europe, the Asia-Pacific region and Africa. Before joining Nickelodeon, Tuchman served as Vice President, Business Affairs and Senior Counsel, International Development for MTV Networks.
