AMC UK EXCLUSIVELY PREMIERES “RIDE WITH NORMAN REEDUS” ON 2ND JANUARY AT 9:00PM

Actor, Biker-Enthusiast and Star of “The Walking Dead” Hits the Open Road in the Travel Documentary Series,

Exploring Motorcycle Culture and its History

London – 26 October 2016 – AMC UK announced today that it will exclusively premiere to BT TV customers the travel documentary series “Ride with Norman Reedus” on Monday 2nd January 2017 at 9:00pm. Across six weekly one-hour episodes, the star of “The Walking Dead” and biker-enthusiast Reedus takes viewers on a ride on the open road to explore motorcycle culture and its history and celebrate some of the best and brightest collectors, mechanics and motorcycle craftsmen in the US.

The series will be available free of charge in the UK to all BT TV customers on the AMC channel, number 332 on BT TV and BT Sport Pack subscribers on Sky channel 192. AMC is also available in HD on both BT TV and Sky with an HD subscription.

Each episode of “Ride” takes a trip to a different city with Reedus and his riding companion – a fellow actor, musician, friend, or local chopper fanatic who share his passion for motorcycles. Guests include actor Balthazar Getty, filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, Mastodon singer and guitarist Brent Hinds, artist Jake Lamagno, custom bike builder Jason Paul Michaels, and artist Imogen Lehtonen journeying to locations such as Death Valley, the Pacific Coast Highway, Appalachia, Louisiana, Texas, and the Florida Keys. Reedus and his guests take in the local flavour on their travels, going dune-buggying, riding the bike of the future, visiting a moonshine distillery, racing porta-potties and even meeting with a high voodoo priestess. The series also welcomes as a guest the legendary actor Peter Fonda, whose film Easy Rider first inspired Reedus to start riding motorcycles.

“I’m incredibly excited and thankful to AMC for giving me the opportunity to share a passion of mine with our fans, and hopefully a whole new audience. I had a lot of fun filming and exploring, and I hope it shows,” said Reedus.

Norman Reedus is best known for starring as Daryl Dixon in the hit drama “The Walking Dead,” which is now in its seventh season. “Ride with Norman Reedus” is produced by Left/Right Productions. Executive producers are Ken Druckerman, Banks Tarver, Anneka Jones (“This American Life,” “The Circus: Inside The Greatest Political Show On Earth,” “Odd Mom Out”) and Norman Reedus. “Ride” has already been renewed for a second season.
