Cablevision’s Rainbow Captures 66 Emmy Nominations

MetroChannels, News 12 Networks, MSG Network and FOX Sports Net New York Honored by the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences

Bethpage, NY – Rainbow Media Holdings, Inc., the programming division of Cablevision Systems Corp (NYSE: CVC), has garnered 66 nominations in news, entertainment and sports programming for New York Emmy Awards. The nominations were announced today by the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, which granted a total of 261 Emmy nominations to a record field of 1,073 entries.


Rainbow’s MSG Network (23 nominations), News 12 Long Island (17 nominations), FOX Sports Net New York (13 nominations) and MetroChannels (nine nominations) each landed in the top 10 for local Emmy nominations, placing fourth, fifth, seventh and tenth, respectively. News 12 The Bronx received three nominations and News 12 New Jersey received one nomination. These are MetroChannels’ first Emmy nominations.
