Jericho, New York – Oct. 30th, 2001 – Rainbow Media Holdings, Inc. has launched Mag Rack, its unique video-on-demand service delivering special interest programming that explores in-depth a wide range of topics that are unavailable elsewhere on television. Just like at a newsstand, customers can choose from Mag Rack’s ever-expanding selection of video “magazines” that offer authoritative content about subjects that are personally relevant – ranging from science, bird watching and wine to photography, weddings and vegetarian cooking. Mag Rack is the first and only service designed and produced exclusively for video-on-demand.

The announcement was made by Josh Sapan, Rainbow’s President and CEO, who also announced that Matthew Strauss has been named Executive Vice President and General Manager of Mag Rack.
