American heir hunter Jack Carnegie (Kevin Davis) travels to Ireland in search of a lost family member to inherit a vast fortune. After locating his heir, a mysterious accident cuts short the jubilation surrounding his inheritance, and forces Carnegie and the heir’s beautiful widow (Emma Samms) into exile on a remote romantic island off the Irish coast. There, despite the bleak surroundings and the political turmoil unfolding in the background, the two fall in love. After an attempted kidnapping and several dramatic encounters with the IRA, their courageous struggle for survival ultimately brings this romantic thriller to a surprising resolution.
