Sundance Channel Global Continues Distribution Momentum

PREPARES FOR JUNE LAUNCH IN SPAIN ON TELEFONICA’S MOVISTAR IMAGENIO

MIPTV – Cannes, France – 04 April 2011 – Sundance Channel Global will launch on Spain’s Movistar Imagenio, Telef?nica’s IPTV service and one of the country’s largest television operators. Sundance Channel Global launched less than 2 years ago in a single country and now expands into its 9th territory. Combining the highly recognizable Sundance Channel brand with its capacity for content platform solutions, the channel will also offer mobile authenticated streaming to Imagenio subscribers. The carriage deal was announced today by Rainbow Media Global Senior Vice President, International Distribution Edward Palluth and Telef?nica’s Audiovisual Services Manager Ignacio Fernandez-Vega.

"We look forward to working with Movistar Imagenio, a powerful leader in its space, to provide subscribers with Sundance Channel’s unmatched lineup of dynamic original programming and content platform solutions."

Effective 1st of June, Movistar Imagenio viewers may access Sundance Channel Global as part of the service’s Family Package. Additionally, Movistar Imagenio will offer both SD and HD versions of Sundance Channel on demand. Rights of this deal also include mobile authenticated streaming.
