NEW YORK, NY, December 7, 2009 – WE tv and Wedding Central has promoted two key members of its digital media team and has expanded the department’s oversight to include new business development. Jennifer Robertson has been promoted to senior vice president from vice president and Andrea Bell Macey has been promoted to vice president from director. The digital media department has been renamed Digital Media & Business Development. The group’s main responsibility is to extend the reach of the WE tv and Wedding Central brands via non-linear, advanced media platforms, including online, video on demand, mobile and interactive applications, and to identify key business opportunities designed to create additional revenue streams for the networks.

"These promotions are well deserved and signal WE tv and Wedding Central’s ongoing commitment to reach consumers on every available platform through engaging original content, relatable talent and exciting promotions," said Kim Martin, President & General Manager, WE tv and Wedding Central. "Jennifer is a creative and strategic visionary, constantly encouraging us to explore new applications and create interesting experiences for our viewers; Andrea’s knowledge and passion continue to drive WE tv’s digital media opportunities forward. I am thrilled to reward these two amazing women who set the bar high for everything we do at WE tv."

As the SVP of Digital Media & Business Development, Jennifer Robertson is responsible for developing a comprehensive strategic vision to extend the WE tv and Wedding Central brands via advanced media platforms. She leads a team that oversees content creation and technical direction for the networks’ expanding group of digital properties that now includes WEtv.com, WedCentral.com and the recently launched GuySpeak.com. In addition, she identifies partnerships and acquisitions that will create additional revenue streams for the networks. In 2009, Robertson oversaw the launches of WedCentral.com; GuySpeak.com; WE tv’s first iPhone application to support its Cutest Kid contest; WE tv’s first-ever scripted web series, "In Men We Trust," which followed the dating adventures of four thirty-something women in New York City; and "WE Treat," a twice weekly email newsletter that promises to make a woman’s day more fascinating and effortless with timely topics, unique recipes, useful tips, fun videos, horoscopes and more. Robertson is currently working closely with distributors and technology partners to develop and test iTV applications and identify sustainable business models around the platform. She reports to Kim Martin.

Robertson has led the digital media team as its vice president since 2007. She joined the network in 2000 as a consumer marketing manager, and was promoted to director in 2003. While in consumer marketing, Jen and her team led the network’s advertising and promotions, increased brand development and extensions, forged strategic partnerships, and launched the consumer website. Robertson also spearheaded the establishment of the WEInsider, an online forum of 5,000 women that WE tv communicates with through surveys to determine what drives them in their lives.

Prior to WE tv, Robertson held positions with Newsday, where she was responsible for the development of marketing partnerships designed to grow brand awareness, advertising revenue and circulation; CoActive Marketing, where she designed and executed marketing programs for clients including Colgate-Palmolive and General Mills; and Sony Music Video, where she developed marketing campaigns for Sony Wonder Home Video, MTV Home Video and Sesame Street Home Video. Robertson is a Betsy Magness Leadership Institute Fellow, Class XII.

As the VP of Digital Media & Business Development, Andrea Bell Macey works closely with Robertson by overseeing the department’s day-to-day implementation of the networks’ advanced platform strategies. She explores new business opportunities, such as licensing, merchandising, partnerships and strategic acquisitions, to extend the reach of the WE tv and Wedding Central brands; crafts digital promotions utilizing WE tv’s original programming and talent to create value-added opportunities for distribution and advertising partners; oversees broadband video development and distribution; and identifies video on demand, mobile and iTV applications for each of the networks. Macey will continue to report to Jennifer Robertson.

Prior to joining WE tv in 2006, Macey was manager of community marketing at Fox News Channel. During her eight year tenure there, she oversaw the content and development of the FOX Fan section of FOXNews.com. She also oversaw the online content for shows, including the network program "Geraldo at Large," and "The Tony Snow Show" and "The Alan Colmes Show" radio programs. Previous positions at FNC included community producer and project coordinator of advertising and promotion. Earlier in her career, Macey served as programming operations coordinator for WLIW21/Program Resources Group and as a trainer for Borders Books and Music. Macey is a current WICT Betsy Magness Leadership Institute Fellow, Class XX.
