WE tv Names John Miller Senior Vice President, Original Productions & Development

Network Strengthens Programming and Scheduling Team: Elizabeth Dorée Promoted to Senior Vice President, Scheduling and Acquisitions Terence Coffey Promoted to Vice President Promotional Strategy

New York, NY, October 20 2009 – WE tv announced today the appointment of John Miller as senior vice president, original productions and development for WE tv and Wedding Central. In this role, Mr. Miller will develop original programming and serve as executive in charge of production on all network-produced programming. Most recently, Mr. Miller was executive vice president of television at The Weinstein Company where he oversaw all domestic TV production and development. In that post, he served as the executive in charge of production for notable series such as Project Runway, Models of the Runway, and for the HBO/BBC series, The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency. Previously, he held positions at Touchstone Television, Telepictures Productions and MTV. Mr. Miller will be based in New York and report to Kim Martin, President and General Manager, WE tv and Wedding Central.

Prior to The Weinstein Company, Mr. Miller held overall deals with Touchstone Television and Telepictures Productions. Prior to that, he spent eight years at MTV where he rose to the position of executive vice president, programming and animation. At MTV he supervised, developed and produced some of the network’s highest rated series such as The Tom Green Show, Making the Band and Jackass. He also spearheaded series such as Wild Boyz, Viva la Bam, The Assistant, the critically acclaimed Clone High, the hit scripted drama Undressed, the Peabody award-winning Biorhythm and the game show The Blame Game. During his tenure at the network he served as the executive in charge on the popular series The Real World and Road Rules, and played an important role in establishing MTV’s successful original programming timeslot, "Ten Spot." Before MTV, Mr. Miller was director of development for Foxlab, where he created and developed the syndicated reality series, Trauma Center. Miller holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Communications from Millersville University of Pennsylvania in Millersville, PA.

To further strengthen the WE tv and Wedding Central Programming department effective immediately, Elizabeth Dorée has been elevated to senior vice president of scheduling and acquisitions from vice president, and Terence Coffey has been promoted to vice president, promotional strategy from director. In her new role, Ms. Doree’s responsibilities will expand to include the creation and implementation of strategic plans for both networks’ scheduling, acquisitions and on-air promotion departments. Ms. Dorée will report to Kim Martin. In his new position, Mr. Coffey will be responsible for developing and executing on-air promotion scheduling strategy and break architecture. Mr. Coffey will report to Elizabeth Dorée.

Ms. Dorée joined WE tv in 2001 as vice president of program planning where she developed and implemented short and long-term programming strategies, stunts and events to attract viewers, affiliates and advertisers. She also transitioned the network from non-commercial to ad-supported, developed and oversaw the film formatting process and created the network’s first on-air promotional strategy. In 2006, she was named vice president of program acquisitions and promotional strategy. In this role, she led the development and implementation of short- and long- term acquisition strategies f or WE tv. During her tenure, Ms. Dorée acquired the successful off-network series The Golden Girls, Ghost Whisperer, and Charmed.

Prior to WE tv, Ms. Dorée was with Warner Bros. for seven years where she rose to the position of vice president of sales planning & program inventory. In that position she choreographed domestic cable and network sales of the Warner Bros. library and managed the merger of the Warner Bros. and Turner program libraries to form the world’s largest domestic television program library. Prior to Warner Bros., Ms. Dorée was at Lifetime Television, where she began her career in the acquisitions department. Ms. Dorée earned her Master of Science degree in broadcasting from Boston University and her Bachelor of Arts degree in screen studies from Clark University. She is a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), New York Women in Film (NYWIF), the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS), and the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE).

Mr. Coffey joined WE tv in 2003 as supervisor, programming where he was responsible for creating program logs, maintaining promo allocations, and was a member of the team that strategized the network’s daily promotional priorities. During his tenure in the promotional planning department he was upped to director, promotional strategy where he was responsible for developing a new gross rating point (GRP) promotional strategy which maximized inventory and promotional campaigns, and he also played an integral part in launching WE tv’s HD feed.

Prior to WE tv, Mr. Coffey was at Bravo where he was Manager, Program Continuity. In that role, he executed a new on-air promotional strategy that provided clarity and structure to the network’s interstitial breaks. Prior to Bravo, he held manager level positions in the program operations departments at USA Network and HBO. Mr. Coffey earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in business management from Long Island University/C.W. Post. He is a member of Promax and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, (ATAS).
