WE: Women’s Entertainment Acquires Exclusive Off-Network Premiere of “Felicity”

Series Premieres In October 2002

Pasadena, CA, January 17, 2002 – WE: WOMEN'S ENTERTAINMENT announced today the acquisition of "Felicity," the Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning dramatic series. The exclusive off-network deal includes all four seasons of the hit show. "Felicity," acquired from Buena Vista Television, will debut on the network in October 2002.

"We chose 'Felicity' as our first off-network series acquisition for its widespread appeal to women, relevant themes and quality writing," commented Martin von Ruden, Executive Vice President and General Manager of WE: WOMEN'S ENTERTAINMENT. "We are proud to offer 'Felicity' exclusively to it's fans on WE: WOMEN'S ENTERTAINMENT."

The series, which the Washington Post called "the best new drama of the season" in 1998, has earned numerous awards including an Emmy Award for Best Cinematography. After only one season, Keri Russell received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress.

FELICITY was created by J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves and is executive produced by Abrams, Reeves, Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and John Eisendrath. The series is from Imagine Entertainment in association with Touchstone Television Productions, LLC.
