As Executive Vice President – Corporate Development & Treasurer, John Hsu is responsible for corporate development (M&A, strategic partnerships, deal sourcing and execution), treasury operations (cash management and capital structure initiatives), risk management (insurance and hedging activities), investor relations and digital investments for AMC Ventures.
Hsu led AMC Ventures first digital investment and successful exits at DramaFever Corp, RLJ Entertainment and fuboTV and investments in Philo TV and Macro Ventures. Hsu served on the board of directors for RLJ Entertainment, fuboTV and Macro Ventures and served as a board observer at DramaFever ad Philo TV. Additionally, Hsu is a member of the LP Advisory Committee at Powerhouse Capital.
Hsu joined AMC Networks in June 2011 from Cablevision where he served as Vice President of Financial Planning. Prior to Cablevision, Hsu was an investment banker. He was a Vice President in Bear, Stearns & Co.’s Media & Entertainment Corporate Finance Group. He began his career as a Senior Auditor at Arthur Andersen LLP.
Hsu is a CPA and holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
