As executive vice president of marketing for WE tv, Rosie Pisani leads the strategic brand positioning of WE tv, which is known for its unscripted originals fueled by big personalities and relationships. Her responsibilities are vast; in addition to brand positioning, she is responsible for the management and implementation of the network’s consumer, affiliate and advertiser targeted marketing efforts, along with WE tv’s branded events, partnerships and public affairs initiatives.
In addition to marketing, she was also awarded oversight of the digital group, and leads all of the network’s digital and social media efforts. Pisani has played a crucial role in securing WE tv’s position as the #1 cable network for African-American women and adults on Thursday nights, a top 5 destination for women on Friday nights and a top 10 cable entertainment network on Friday nights. The success of Mama June: From Not to Hot has made WE tv the #1 cable network on Friday nights among women 18-49 and 25-54. In addition, driven primarily by Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta, June 2017 was WE tv’s best month in three years in terms of TV Everywhere usage.
Ms. Pisani is credited with strengthening the WE tv brand and expanding its viewership through compelling marketing campaigns for WE tv’s franchises Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars and Growing Up Hip Hop, and hit series Mama June: From Hot to Not, Braxton Family Values, as well as the brand-defining originals Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best, Bridezillas, My Fair Wedding with David Tutera, and Mary Mary.
Before being named Executive Vice President of Marketing, Pisani was Senior Vice President, Marketing. Prior to that, Ms. Pisani worked as a strategic marketing consultant for WE tv, where she was instrumental in developing the network’s recent brand refresh and new tagline, “Life As WE Know It.” Previously she was the senior vice president of creative services for AMC Networks where she managed all on-air and print design services for each of the company’s networks. Before joining AMC Networks, Ms. Pisani worked at Showtime Networks as the director of acquisition marketing where she managed direct marketing campaigns for Showtime and The Movie Channel. She began her career at WLIR-FM radio station as a music and program director.
Ms. Pisani has won numerous accolades, including PromaxBDA Awards and Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) Mark Awards. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from St. John’s University in Marketing/Communications Arts. Ms. Pisani is a member of CTAM, PromaxBDA and WICT.
