Now, AMC celebrates film’s most cunning and enduring superspy with two film festivals and a solid month of 007, beginning January 7 – 14 with 008 DAYS OF 007, and on January 25 with SUNDAY BONDATHON, a day of back-to-back Bond films. In addition, AMC features its critically-acclaimed original special BOND GIRLS ARE FOREVER.
The featured films include DR. NO (1962), FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE (1963), GOLDFINGER (1964), THUNDERBALL (1965), YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE (1967), DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER (1971), with Sean Connery as Bond; and LIVE AND LET DIE (1973) and FOR YOUR EYES ONLY (1981) with Roger Moore as 007.
During the 008 DAYS OF 007 Festival, AMC will air a different Bond movie each night at 8:00 PM ET/PT (and repeat it the following afternoon), starting with DR. NO on Wednesday,
January 7, followed by the AMC original production BOND GIRLS ARE FOREVER at 10:25 PM. Sexy, stunning, bold, and brazen, the women in James Bond movies are among the most interesting females in films. BOND GIRLS ARE FOREVER explores the mystery and mystique behind the Bond women – as heroes and villains, as actors and characters, as love objects and mother figures, as steely bureaucrats and trained killers.
On Sunday, January 25, AMC presents back-to-back James Bond films with SUNDAY BONDATHON, beginning at 12:00 PM with YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE (which re-airs at 3:30 AM). THUNDERBALL follows at 2:30 PM (re-airing at 10:00 PM), followed by FOR YOUR EYES ONLY at 5:15 PM (and again at 12:45 AM); and GOLDFINGER at 8:00 PM.
