Fox Sports Net Welcomes Dave Benz to Florida Sports Tonight and Florida Sports Report

SUNRISE, FL – Fox Sports Net Florida announced today the appointment of Dave Benz as its lead anchor for FLORIDA SPORTS TONIGHT and FLORIDA SPORTS TONIGHT, the premier live sports news programs in the state. Jeff Genthner, Fox Sports Net's Senior Vice President and General Manager made the announcement.

Benz is a veteran of the Florida sports scene and has covered local teams as both a news anchor and a reporter for WAMI 69's Sportstown in Miami. Benz has also hosted and reported for pre-game and post-game shows for the Florida Marlins and Miami Heat at WAMI 69.

Prior to moving to Florida in 1999, Benz served as a local sports anchor and reporter for WLUK-TV, a FOX affiliate in Green Bay, Wisconsin. While in Green Bay, he served as a host and as a reporter for various sports programs, including FOX Friday Night Football, a locally produced show called Sportswrap, and Green Bay Packers pre-game and post-game shows.

A 1992 graduate of Oswego State University, Benz earned a degree in Broadcast Communication. He joins Randy McIlvoy at the anchor desk and reporters Sue Ann Roback, Mike Nabors, and Joe Zagacki for the FLORIDA SPORTS TONIGHT and FLORIDA SPORTS TONIGHT beginning Monday, November 19.

FLORIDA SPORTS TONIGHT airs weekdays at 6:30pm, and FLORIDA SPORTS TONIGHT airs seven nights a week at 10:00pm on Fox Sports Net Florida.
