Rainbow Entertainment Services Names Linda Schupack AMC’s Senior Vice President of Marketing

NEW YORK, January 25, 2005 – Rainbow Entertainment Services President Ed Carroll named Linda Schupack as Senior Vice President of Marketing for AMC. Schupack’s announcement comes days after final 2004 Nielsen numbers gave AMC its strongest year ever with record delivery records for Prime, Late Night, Fringe and Total Day. The appointment provides AMC with a senior branding strategist and a broader more aggressive marketing infrastructure. Prior to the appointment, Schupack served as Senior Vice President of Creative Services for Rainbow.

“Linda is one of the most accomplished, creative and respected marketers in our industry,” said Carroll. “For the past three years she has lead Rainbow’s in-house agency and has played a critical role in the evolution of all the Rainbow brands. In 2004, Linda spearheaded the development of consumer marketing campaigns that helped AMC achieve all-time highs.”

Specifically, Schupack will report to Carroll and direct all of AMC’s marketing efforts, while overseeing the network’s brand identity as a home base for movie lovers. She and her team will develop AMC’s consumer advertising campaigns and support the network’s ad sales and promotional efforts.

In conjunction with today’s personnel announcement, Schupack detailed plans for her first major multi-tiered initiative of 2005. Sponsored by Mercedes-Benz, “And the Nominees Are….” will take place February 21-27, providing viewers with a destination home to celebrate and anticipate the award season, with 24-hour programming of Oscar nominated and Oscar winning films. The push will be strategically marketed by providing customized programming interstitials and specially produced shorts from AMC hit series, Sunday Morning ShootOut. As part of the initiative, AMC will also offer viewers an opportunity to register for “AMC VIP Sweepstakes,” where the grand prize winner will fly to Hollywood during Oscar weekend and be treated like celebrity royalty, with a cadre of fashion, make up and spa advisors and access to some of the hottest weekend events. Viewers will be able to register via amctv.com from February 5th– 18th.

Ms. Schupack previously served as Senior Vice President of Creative Services for Rainbow, joining the company in 2001. In that role, she oversaw development of advertising, promotion, collateral and new media materials for all of Rainbow’s businesses, including the corporate brand. She was a key member of the Rainbow senior management team and involved in the evolution of the AMC, IFC, Fuse and WE: Women’s Entertainment brands. An industry veteran, Schupack held a number of senior positions at Viacom’s Nickelodeon, including Vice President of Marketing and Programming for Nick International, where she oversaw the creative development of Nickelodeon internationally, interpreting the brand for local audiences through the development and execution of marketing and programming strategies. Schupack graduated from Yale where she also received her MBA
