Rainbow Media Establishes Strong Presence at CTPAA Forum 2006 as Key Sponsor

WE: Women's Entertainment Honored for WE Empowers Women's 'Minute of Empowerment' PSAs

Panel and Roundtable Presence to Highlight Public Affairs Initiatives: IFC's IFC Film School & WE's WE Empowers Women

New York, NY, March 17, 2006 – Rainbow Media will provide extensive support at this years CTPAA FORUM, which kicks off Sunday, March 19 in Washington, DC. Rainbow cable networks, WE: Women's Entertainment and IFC, will showcase their respective public affairs initiatives, WE Empowers Women and IFC Film School, with exclusive video content during the President's Reception and Beacon Dinner on Tuesday, March 21 beginning at 5:30 pm. In addition, each initiative will make a donation to a local Washington, DC partner – WE Empowers Women will donate to the local Chapter of American Heart Association and IFC Film School will donate video cameras to three local area high schools.

In addition, WE Empowers Women's 'Minute of Empowerment' PSAs will be honored in the "Best PSA" category for the CableWORLD-CTPAA Public Affairs Programming Awards on Tuesday, March 21st during a ceremony from 12:30pm – 2:30pm. 'Minute of Empowerment' will also be recognized in CableWORLD Magazine's March 20 issue along with Rainbow Media on-demand network Mag Rack, who will receive honorable mention in the "Best PSA" category for the network's After the Hurricane PSA.

Rainbow Media's Fox Sports Network Bay Area will also be given honorable mention as a CTPAA Beacon Award finalist at the CTPAA Beacon Dinner. The network will be recognized in the community category for their Stay in School Challenge that rewarded students in grades six through 12 who were able to maintain perfect attendance from February 14 through April 22, 2005.

The technology requirements of schools and school districts are rapidly changing and becoming increasingly sophisticated. IFC's Film School, the network's groundbreaking standards-based education public affairs initiative, is a free resource that uses the excitement of filmmaking to engage high school students in their English Literature classes.
