Sundance Channel Makes Nicole De Fusco Vice President

New York, New York – February 3, 2009 – Sundance Channel announced today that Nicole De Fusco has been hired as Vice President, Original Programming and Development. In this newly-created position, Nicole oversees the development process for on air original programming. She is responsible for bolstering the production of original series for Sundance Channel as well as developing brand expansion strategies. She reports to Lynne Kirby, Senior Vice President, Original Programming and Development.

“Nicole has a proven track record for creating groundbreaking and fresh programming that resonates with viewers,” said Kirby. “Her strong creative vision and relationships with decision makers in the entertainment community will be an invaluable asset for Sundance Channel as it expands its original production slate.”

Nicole comes to Sundance Channel from FUSE where she served as Director of Development & Original Series and developed hits such as “Pants Off Dance Off”, “Videos that Rocked the World” and “Live Through This”. Prior to FUSE, Nicole served as a creative executive at Oxygen where she was responsible for the development and production of films, nonfiction specials and reality, as well as scripted series. Nicole also worked as an independent producer and produced, wrote, edited and directed Reconstructing Lives, a documentary that aired on PBS in Los Angeles (KCET).

Nicole holds a B.A. in Critical Studies of Cinema and Broadcast Journalism from The University of Southern California where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
