TELENOVELA CHANNEL EVA+ LAUNCHES IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MULTICHOICE IN AFRICA ON 1ST NOVEMBER

Eva+ will be available on both the DStv and GOtv platforms

London – 18 October 2016 – AMC Networks International – UK announced today that it will launch telenovela channel Eva+ in Africa, a sister channel to Eva that first aired in spring 2015. Eva+ will begin broadcasting on Tuesday, 1st of November on MultiChoice’s digital pay TV satellite platform DStv, on channels 142 (English) and 509 (Portuguese), and will also be available on DTT platform GOtv, on channel 13 (channel 113 in Ghana).

Similarly to Eva, Eva+ will offer high production value Latin American telenovelas fully dubbed in English and Portuguese languages, and will be the first channel in AMC Networks International – UK’s (AMCNI UK) regional portfolio to be available on MultiChoice’s DTT platform.

Eva+ will air double bills of four telenovela titles every weekday and marathons over the weekend, including Buscando a Maria (Searching Maria) on air from Tuesday, 1st November at 11:20 every weekday then on Saturday at 06:00 and on Sunday at 16:00 and Cuando me Enamoro (Timeless Love) on air from Thursday, 1st December at 11:20 on weekdays at 17:00 then on Saturday at 06:00 and on Sunday at 16:00, CAT.

Eva will continue to broadcast on the DStv platform, and in addition to the Premium, Compact Plus and Compact packages on channel 141, it is now offered in the Family package, reaching further audiences. Two of the most successful series, We are Family (Somos Familia) and Fooled into Love (Amores con Trampa) from the Eva schedule are now available as 7-day catch up.
