NEW YEAR, NEW YOU profiles four women, Cat, Adria, Shira and Valerie, as they learn to transform their lives with the help of internationally renowned life coach Laura Berman Fortgang. Additional assistance is tailored for each woman's needs with experts ranging from a nutritionist to a ballroom dance instructor.
CAT – At 43-years-old, Cat is creating a new identity for herself after undergoing a painful divorce and ending her life-long hobby of breeding and showing Maine Coon cats. Her aspirations include selling her construction business and moving to Montana to become a writer. She will be meeting with life coach, Laura Berman Fortgang, nutritionist Elizabeth DeRobertis, and get a professional makeover.
ADIRA – A 22-year-old student approaching her college graduation, Adira is anxious about what lies ahead. Although she majored in mathematics, her goal is to find a job in children's publishing. She will be meeting with life coach, Laura, and Harper Collins human resource specialist Lorna Hagen-Metzler who gives Adria the inside scoop on getting hired in publishing.
VALERIE – If success is following your dreams, Valerie is falling short. Valerie has a law degree, but her true passion is to be a full-time actress. In addition to cleaning out her emotional closet, Valerie has several years worth of stuff cluttering her physical closet. While we help make her "camera-ready," an acting coach will help Valerie hone her audition skills.
SHIRA – Life has been full of surprises for 26-year-old Shira Corbin. The greatest was finding out she was pregnant only three weeks after getting engaged to college sweetheart Justin Klein. Now this new mom is adjusting to new responsibilities while planning her dream wedding. A professional makeover will help her looks and a dance instructor will give Shira and her fiancé moves to "wow" their guests on the big day.
