AMC Networks Inc. Reports Second Quarter 2025 Results

New York, NY – August 8, 2025: AMC Networks Inc. (“AMC Networks” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: AMCX) today reported financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2025.

Chief Executive Officer Kristin Dolan said: “We are executing our clear strategic plan focused on programming, partnerships and profitability. We remain committed to delivering high-quality and distinctive series and films to our engaged fans across all platforms, including the best collection of targeted streaming services in the world. In the second quarter, we saw streaming revenue growth accelerate, strength in content licensing and continued healthy free cash flow generation. We are increasing our free cash flow outlook for 2025 and now expect approximately $250 million of free cash flow for the full year.”

Recent Financing Activity

AMC Networks completed a series of financing transactions in the second quarter and in July 2025 including the issuance of $400 million of new 10.50% Senior Secured Notes due 2032 (the “Senior Secured Notes”), the tender offer for $600 million of 4.25% Senior Notes due 2029 (the “Senior Notes”), open market repurchases of $99 million of Senior Notes and the voluntary prepayment of $90 million of borrowings under the Senior Secured Credit Facility. Since March 31, 2025 the Company has reduced gross debt outstanding by approximately $400 million and captured approximately $138 million of debt discount. See page 10 for the adjusted capitalization taking account of transactions that closed subsequent to the end of the second quarter.

The Company repurchased 1.6 million shares of its Class A Common Stock at an average purchase price of $6.48 per share in the second quarter. As of June 30, 2025, the Company had $125 million of authorization remaining for repurchase under the Stock Repurchase Program.

As of August 1, 2025, the Company had 31,899,405 shares of Class A Common Stock and 11,484,408 shares of Class B Common Stock outstanding.

Description of Non-GAAP Measures

Internally, the Company uses Adjusted Operating Income (Loss) and Free Cash Flow measures as the most important indicators of its business performance and evaluates management’s effectiveness with specific reference to these indicators.

The Company defines Adjusted Operating Income (Loss), which is a non-GAAP financial measure, as operating income (loss) before share-based compensation expense or benefit, depreciation and amortization, impairment and other charges (including gains or losses on sales or dispositions of businesses), restructuring and other related charges, cloud computing amortization, and including the Company’s proportionate share of adjusted operating income (loss) from majority-owned equity method investees. From time to time, we may exclude the impact of certain events, gains, losses, or other charges (such as significant legal settlements) from AOI that affect our operating performance. Because it is based upon operating income (loss), Adjusted Operating Income (Loss) also excludes interest expense (including cash interest expense) and other non-operating income and expense items. The Company believes that the exclusion of share-based compensation expense or benefit allows investors to better track the performance of the various operating units of the business without regard to the effect of the settlement of an obligation that is not expected to be made in cash.

The Company believes that Adjusted Operating Income (Loss) is an appropriate measure for evaluating the operating performance of the business segments and the Company on a consolidated basis. Adjusted Operating Income (Loss) and similar measures with similar titles are common performance measures used by investors, analysts, and peers to compare performance in the industry.

Adjusted Operating Income (Loss) should be viewed as a supplement to and not a substitute for operating income (loss), net income (loss), and other measures of performance presented in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”). Since Adjusted Operating Income (Loss) is not a measure of performance calculated in accordance with GAAP, this measure may not be comparable to similar measures with similar titles used by other companies. The Company defines Free Cash Flow, which is a non-GAAP financial measure, as net cash provided by operating activities less capital expenditures, all of which are reported in our Consolidated Statement of Cash Flows. The Company believes the most comparable GAAP financial measure of its liquidity is net cash provided by operating activities. The Company believes that Free Cash Flow is useful as an indicator of its overall liquidity, as the amount of Free Cash Flow generated in any period is representative of cash that is available for debt repayment, investment, and other discretionary and non-discretionary cash uses. The Company also believes that Free Cash Flow is one of several benchmarks used by analysts and investors who follow the industry for comparison of its liquidity with other companies in the industry, although the Company’s measure of Free Cash Flow may not be directly comparable to similar measures reported by other companies. The Company defines Adjusted Earnings per Diluted Share (“Adjusted EPS”), which is a non-GAAP financial measure, as earnings per diluted share excluding the following items: amortization of acquisition-related intangible assets; impairment and other charges (including gains or losses on sales or dispositions of businesses); non-cash impairments of goodwill, intangible and fixed assets; restructuring and other related charges; and the impact associated with the modification of debt arrangements, including gains and losses related to the extinguishment of debt; as well as the impact of taxes on the aforementioned items. The Company believes the most comparable GAAP financial measure is earnings per diluted share. HOUSTON, TX July 29, 2025 — The future arrives this October with today’s announcement from AMC Networks’ HIDIVE that the new sci-fi drama series Dusk Beyond the End of the World, now the official English language series name for Towa no Yuugure, will stream exclusively as part of the anime streaming service’s Fall 2025 simulcast season. Dusk Beyond the End of the World is an original anime set in a futuristic world where technology has transformed society. With each new episode, audiences will experience this unknown world together—discovering that love and relationships now exist between humans and androids. HIDIVE also debuted the official English subtitled trailer for the upcoming show as well as revealed that, in advance of the series’ debut, it will host the world premiere of Dusk Beyond the End of the World Episodes 1 & 2 on Sunday, August 24 at the Javits Center in New York City as part of the streamer’s Anime NYC 2025 programming schedule.

The film is directed by Jeremiah Kipp (SLAPFACE), co-written by Tracee Beebe (DOG YEARS) and Clarke, and stars Willa Holland (“Arrow”) and Emmy Award Nominee Paul Sparks (“Boardwalk Empire”). Shudder will release THE MORTUARY ASSISTANT in 2026.

THE MORTUARY ASSISTANT follows newly certified mortician Rebecca Owens (Holland), who takes a job at the River Field Mortuary and is tasked with embalming bodies alone on the night shift, but something sinister lurks beneath the surface. She must navigate demonic rituals, unravel the secrets of her enigmatic mentor (Sparks), and confront her own buried traumas to survive the night – and prevent her body from becoming a vessel for possession.

Alongside the acquisition announcement out of San Diego Comic-Con’s “The Bold Voice Of Contemporary Horror” panel, Shudder has revealed a first-look image from the film featuring Willa Holland as Rebecca Owens, the game’s iconic protagonist, and was accompanied by an in-room exclusive clip. The footage offers an unsettling glimpse of Rebecca preparing to embalm a body as the mortuary’s lights begin to flicker – an eerie sequence that highlights key elements from the game, including the gurney, clipboard, and the letting strip.

THE MORTUARY ASSISTANT is produced by Patrick Ewald’s Epic Pictures via its horror outfit, Dread, and its video game division, DreadXP, alongside Cole Payne’s Traverse Media. SAN DIEGO, CA – July 25, 2025 – The cast and executive producers of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon announced today during the show’s Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con that the series has been renewed for a fourth and final season, which will begin production this month in Spain. The eight-episode final season, starring TWD franchise icons Norman Reedus (“Daryl Dixon”) and Melissa McBride (“Carol Peletier”) and a stellar supporting cast will film in and around Madrid in locations including Bilbao, Galicia, Andalucía, the Segovia region, Toledo and Community of Madrid.

The Comic-Con panel previewed the series’ highly anticipated third season, which premieres September 7 on AMC and AMC+, and gave fans the first look at the season’s official trailer. The panel featured series stars and executive producers Reedus and McBride, showrunner David Zabel, and executive producer Scott M. Gimple, chief content officer of The Walking Dead Universe, and executive producer Greg Nicotero.

Guts & Glory flips the script on the traditional competition show – thrusting players into an immersive horror experience full of unexpected challenges. SAN DIEGO, CA – July 26, 2025 – Today at Comic-Con International, AMC Networks unveiled a collaboration with Fender Musical Instruments Corp., Fender, the world’s leading guitar manufacturer. Building on Fender’s legacy of innovation and history of modification, a capsule collection of four customized Player II Modified Stratocaster® guitars to be featured in the new season of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire – titled Anne Rice’s The Vampire Lestat. “The LeStrat” collection – a playful nod to Fender’s iconic Stratocaster® – will go on tour with vampire and rockstar Lestat (Sam Reid) and be played throughout the music-themed season, returning next year. The partnership was announced with the first custom guitar in the collection, “LeStrat: Petit Coup,” on display during the series’ Ballroom 20 panel at Comic-Con, during which Composer Daniel Hart surprised attendees with a surprise musical performance of the series’ original song, “The Loneliness,” which he composed for the upcoming season.

The custom guitars were designed and modified by Fender’s expert team along with series Production Designer Andres Cubillan. Each guitar in the collection will have a distinct design aesthetic, visually building on the previous model and – in true vampire fashion – become bloodier as the season progresses, culminating in the reveal of the hand-painted fourth guitar in the season finale.

Said Hart: “I’ve been playing my American Tele® through a ’65 Deluxe Reverb® since I was 21 years old. Fender has been a part of my music and my life ever since, and I’m excited to see what they’ve cooked up for our Rock’n’Roll Vampire.”

At Comic-Con, the “LeStrat: Petit Coup” was also on hand at the Anne Rice Immortal Universe press conference immediately following the panel where guests received custom Vampire Lestat Fender guitar picks to commemorate the collaboration. In addition to Reid and Hart, the show’s Comic-Con panel, previewing the new season, was attended by cast members Jacob Anderson and Eric Bogosian, along with Executive Producer Mark Johnson, who oversees the Anne Rice Immortal Universe for AMC Networks, and Showrunner and Executive Producer Rolin Jones.

Anne Rice’s The Vampire Lestat began production last month in Toronto.
