Matthew Frankel Named Director of Media Relations For Rainbow Media Holdings, Inc.

New York, NY, February 11, 2002 – Rainbow Media Holdings, Inc. announced today that Matthew Frankel has joined its Communications and Marketing Department as director of media relations. In this role, Frankel will be responsible for managing media relations, industry relations and public affairs. He will work closely with Rainbow and Cablevision's executives, public relations and public affairs groups, facilitating communication and coordinating company positioning and messaging. He will report directly to Christine Levesque, Rainbow senior vice president, communication and marketing.

"Matt is an experienced, savvy and energetic communications and media relations pro. I'm extremely pleased that he has agreed to join Rainbow," said Levesque. "Given his track record of success in the political arena, he is well positioned to dive into the cable industry, and make great contributions to Rainbow and our networks."

Frankel comes to Rainbow from Washington, D.C. where he worked on Capitol Hill, creating and executing communications strategy for a number of successful policy initiatives and political campaigns. Just prior to joining Rainbow, Matthew oversaw the Communications Department at the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC), the national policy arm of the Democratic Party. In addition, Matthew served as Press Secretary for the Congresswoman Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) and Deputy Press Secretary for House Democratic Leader Richard A. Gephardt (D-MO).

He is a graduate of The College of Wooster with a B.A. in History.
