WE: Women's Entertainment Taps Multi-Platinum Singer/Songwriter Jewel to Perform at Private Reception During Last Western Show

Anaheim, California, December 1, 2003 – WE: WOMEN'S ENTERTAINMENT toasts the final Western Show with an exclusive performance by multi-platinum singer/songwriter Jewel at a private reception on Wednesday, December 3.

Jewel's 1995 debut album, PIECES OF YOU featured the hit singles "You Were Meant For Me," "Who Will Save Your Soul," and "Foolish Games." Her albums have sold 25 million copies worldwide and her newest, 0304, is a major departure from her folk roots, incorporating folk melodies against hip hop beats, French accordion, hand clapping and whistling solos. The first single is "Intuition."

Jewel has received three Grammy Award nominations, an American Music Award, and an MTV Video Music Award. In addition to singing and songwriting, Jewel is also an actress and an author. She made her film debut in Ang Lee's "Ride With The Devil," and her version of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" was used as the title song to the Reese Witherspoon film of the same name. She is currently working on her second book of poetry (a collection of love poems), following the success of her two previous books. Jewel was also named one of GLAMOUR magazine's 10th Anniversary "Women of the Year" for her dedication to humanitarian goals.
