SUNDANCE CHANNEL’s "ART WEEK" CELEBRATES A WIDE RANGE OF ARTISTS AND THEIR WORK IN NINE DOCUMENTARY FILMS, INCLUDING THREE U.S. PREMIERES

Airs Monday, December 22nd – Sunday, December 28th At 7:00pm ET/PT

Sundance Channel celebrates art in December with "Art Week," seven nights of documentary films spotlighting a range of artists and their work. Comprised of nine films, the lineup surveys a range of artistic disciplines, from painting, sculpture and photography to experimental film, sound-based art and performance art. The series includes three U.S. television premieres: Mary Jordan’s Jack Smith and the Destruction of Atlantis; Esther Robinson’s A Walk Into the Sea: Danny Williams and the Warhol Factory; and Wiebke von Carolsfeld’s Walk With Us. Completing the "Art Week" lineup are Jean-Claude Luyat and Guillaume Bonn’s Peter Beard: Scrapbooks from Africa and Beyond; Peter Rosen’s Who Gets to Call It Art?; Jace Judelson’s Tina Barney: Social Studies; James Crump’s Art From the Arctic; Olivo Barbieri’s Site Specific short film series; and Jennifer Baichwal’s Manufactured Landscapes.
