Fans Can Transform Themselves into a Zombie with Exclusive Snapchat Lens in the

US, UK, Spain, Argentina, Mexico and the Netherlands

New York,  17 August 2016 – Ahead of the simultaneous global premiere of new season two episodes of “Fear the Walking Dead” on 21st August at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, AMC Global announced today that it has teamed up with Snapchat to create an exclusive “Fear the Walking Dead” zombie themed lens.  The lens will allow fans of the series to transform themselves into the undead within the Snapchat mobile picture messaging app.  Marking the first time that a Snapchat Lens has been created for a TV series across multiple countries, it will be made available to users throughout the US, UK, Spain, Argentina, Mexico and the Netherlands. The intiative will also be the first time a television series is promoted through a Snapchat lens in Argentina, Mexico, Spain and the Netherlands.

Over 100 million people use Snapchat every day.  Snapchat Lenses allow users of the mobile messaging app to apply sophisticated filters and animations to their selfie ‘Snaps’, transforming the images which can then be shared with friends and contacts. The “Fear the Walking Dead” lens will be available free via Snapchat for 24 hours, from midnight to 11:59 p.m. on 20thAugust in the UK, Spain, Argentina, Mexico and the Netherlands, and on 21st August in the US.

The remaining half of season two of “Fear the Walking Dead” will include eight episodes and premieres exclusively on AMC Global in over 125 countries simultaneous to the AMC US premiere with repeats later that evening in primetime in local markets (where applicable).

As season two of “Fear the Walking Dead” continues, the Clark, Manawa and Salazar families fracture. The events that took place within the Abigail compound in Mexico have set all of our heroes adrift and now they must forge their own paths to survive.  “Fear the Walking Dead” is executive produced by showrunner Dave Erickson, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert and stars Kim Dickens as Madison, Cliff Curtis as Travis, Frank Dillane as Nick, Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alicia, Ruben Blades as Daniel, Mercedes Mason as Ofelia, Lorenzo James Henrie as Chris and Colman Domingo as Strand.
