AMC's 24 ON 34 MIRACLE MARATHON

AMC announces the 24 on 34 Miracle Marathon, a full day devoted to the heartwarming film, MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET. Beginning on Christmas Eve, December 24 at 8:00 PM (ET), and ending at 8:00 PM on Christmas Day, AMC rings in the holiday season with back-to-back airings of MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET (1947), coupled with its telling BACKSTORY episode. When a nice old man who claims to be the Santa Claus is institutionalized as insane, a young lawyer decides to defend him by arguing in court that he is the real thing. Maureen O'Hara, John Payne, Edmund Gwenn, Gene Lockhart and Natalie Wood star.

THANKSGIVING DAY:

It was a miracle of marketing, of casting and of timing. A yuletide tale that opened in June, it was an unexpected success that became an Academy Award® winner. MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET was both endearing and enduring, a message of hope and faith wrapped in sparkling performances and an enchanting script. On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22, AMC presents the beloved holiday film in its entirety at 8:00 PM (ET), followed by a special new episode of BACKSTORY: MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET at 9:45 PM.

NEW YEAR'S IN NEW YORK MARATHON:

AMC offers viewers a trip to New York City through a movie marathon focusing on films based in the Big Apple, DESERATELY SEEKING SUSAN, AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER, REAR WINDOW, MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET and BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS.
