AMC Launches Exclusive Broadband Content for American Cinematheque

New Micro Site to Include: Celebrity Interviews and Red Carpet Footage From "George Clooney: An American Cinematheque Tribute"

Initiative Builds on Network's Multiple Platforms Brand Expansion

NEW YORK, NY NOVEMBER 27, 2006 – AMC announced today that it will launch a new micro site which will expand the content offering for the "George Clooney: An American Cinematheque Tribute" with exclusive footage on AMCTV.com. The enhanced original content will feature celebrity interviews, including a one on one with George Clooney, and red carpet footage from the gala. The online initiative will dovetail with the network's traditional linear American Cinematheque broadcast which airs on Wednesday, December 13, at 8PM ET/PT/7C. The content extension builds on previous broad band initiatives by AMC, such as on the recently successful Monsterfest X, which grew the network's web site by 90% and continues the network's mission to extend the brand through multiple platforms.

Starting November 28 and leading up to the on-air premiere, online viewers can go to www.amctv.com to access the new micro site. In addition to the exclusive red carpet footage; interviews with such stars as Christian Slater, Cindy Crawford, and Noah Wylie; and personal messages to Clooney from Salma Hayek, Danny Divito, and Lindsay Lohan, the site will also include George Clooney trivia, viewer polls, and an interactive rate-and-review Clooney Films section. Acura, Dow Chemical, Sudacare Shower Soothers, and TGI Fridays have signed on as sponsors and will receive integrated brand presence throughout the site.

"AMC is committed to leveraging the success of the network across multiple platforms and our American Cinematheque broadband initiative is another important example of how AMC is investing in the expansion of its brand," stated Charlie Collier, General Manger of AMC. "These strides we are making on a multi platform level are yielding important results. Providing exclusive broadband content compliments our traditional linear programming, adds value to our viewers, sponsors and affiliates and is a perfect way to celebrate the cinematic qualities that AMC represents."

Since Collier joined AMC last September, the network has enhanced its online offerings and expanded its original content across multiple platforms. Most recently, the network leveraged the 10th anniversary of Monsterfest, into a unique cross-platform initiative to compliment the network's linear ten-day broadcast. By maximizing both VOD and broadband, the time honored Halloween programming stunt ranked AMC as a top network performer in primetime delivery of key demos among all cable networks, including Top 5 in delivery of Adults 18-49 during prime, and grew network web site traffic by 90%.

Each year the American Cinematheque, a non-profit organization dedicated exclusively to the public presentation of the Moving Picture in all its forms, honors an extraordinary artist in the entertainment industry who is committed to making a significant contribution to the art of motion pictures.
