AMC NETWORKS LAUNCHES VOTER ENGAGEMENT CAMPAIGN LEADING UP TO THE 2020 ELECTION

Campaign initiatives include custom on-air and social spots, partnerships with Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote and the Civic Alliance, and more

NEW YORK, NY – October 2, 2020 – AMC Networks announced today it has launched a nonpartisan voter awareness campaign leading up to the 2020 election with a series of custom on-air and social spots, partnerships with Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote and the Civic Alliance, and more. The campaign’s goal is to raise awareness for the 2020 election and provide a custom voting information and registration portal through its partnership with When We All Vote. The voter engagement spots will air across cable networks AMC, IFC and SundanceTV, as well as across social channels to raise voter awareness. All linear, social, and digital activations point to https://www.whenweallvote.org/amc, where AMC Networks invites users to check their registration status, register to vote, and learn more about vital voting information.

Throughout October during AMC’s annual FearFest, AMC, IFC, and SundanceTV are sharing “frightening” reminders encouraging audiences to “exorcise” their right to vote. The spectacularly spooky spots use classic horror film favorites to remind voters that you don’t want to be left screaming after Election Day. Get to the polls, make a plan to vote. Other nonpartisan initiatives taking place across AMC Networks include a partnership with NY-based Rooftop Films to provide a free drive-in screening of the 2020 Vice Presidential debate at the New York Hall of Science in Queens, NY. AMC Networks is also a member of the Civic Alliance, a nonpartisan group of businesses working to build a future where everyone participates in shaping our country.
