Proven Leader will Run Team at Center of Some of Company’s Most Important Distribution Partnerships

NEW YORK – April 22, 2025 – AMC Networks today announced that Eric de Cholnoky has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Distribution & Business Development. In this role, de Cholnoky – who joined AMC Networks in 2015 – will run a distribution team responsible for representing the company’s popular and critically acclaimed programming and brands to some of its most important and longstanding commercial and distribution partners. Reporting to Chief Commercial Officer Kim Kelleher, he takes over for distribution EVP Roy Cho, who is leaving the company at the end of the month.

“Eric is a proven leader and terrific colleague. We are thrilled to elevate him into this important role and look forward to his leadership of this highly functioning team,” Kelleher said. “We continue to deliver great value to our distribution partners across a variety of platforms and differentiate AMC Networks through our popular and high-quality programming and franchises. Thanks also to Roy for his many contributions over the years and during this period of change. We wish him well.”

“I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to lead this best-in-class distribution team,” de Cholnoky said. “I am looking forward to further strengthening the relationships with our partners to reach and engage our audiences through our fantastic AMC Networks shows and brands.”

de Cholnoky joined AMC Networks as Vice President of Distribution in 2015 and was promoted to Senior Vice President of Distribution in 2019. He returned to the company in 2023 after a brief time in a distribution leadership role at EPIX (now MGM+). He will now lead a skilled team that includes Barbara Kalosieh and Amber Callahan, both Senior Vice Presidents of Distribution. The team develops and executes multi-platform distribution deals with digital, cable, satellite and wireless telecommunications companies in the United States and Canada across AMC Networks’ portfolio of television networks and digital products: AMC, BBC America, BBC News, IFC, SundanceTV, We TV, AMC+, Acorn TV, ALLBLK, Shudder and Sundance Now. In addition, the team is responsible for sourcing and managing new and ongoing business development partnerships.

de Cholnoky began his career as an attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, where his practice focused on mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Columbia Law School.
