Former MundoFox Executive will Lead Network’s Marketing and Digital Strategy
New York, NY – June 9, 2016 – BBC AMERICA today announced that Oswald Méndez has been named Executive Vice President of Marketing and Digital. Based in New York, he reports directly to Sarah Barnett, President of BBC AMERICA. In this role, Méndez is responsible for all strategic, creative and consumer marketing for BBCA, along with all digital activity, social and ad sales marketing.

Prior to joining BBC AMERICA, Méndez was EVP and Chief Marketing Officer for MundoFox Broadcasting, where he spearheaded the network’s launch from FOX International Channels and RCN Television Group. Previously, Méndez served as SVP, Lifestyle Entertainment with FOX International Channels, where he oversaw all programming aspects including network strategy, content and programming across Latin America for the Utilisima Brand, as well as all marketing efforts across Consumer, Affiliate and Ad-sales.
Méndez started his career with McCann-Erickson Worldwide, where he managed Coca-Cola’s global media strategy and Pan-regional efforts for LatAm. During his tenure in this role, he launched the Universal McCann brand regionally and developed marketing strategies for multinational clients such as MasterCard, Nestlé and Johnson & Johnson. Méndez graduated from New York University.
