Biggest Names in Sports & Entertainment Go Head to Head With James Brown

Fox Sports Net’s New Personality-Driven Interview Show
Debuts May 9, at 9:00 PM Local

Draws Correspondents from FSN and FOX Sports

James Brown, the host of FOX NFL SUNDAY, and one of the most well-respected and distinguished personalities in sports broadcasting, brings his singular talents to Fox Sports Net for a special series titled, HEAD TO HEAD WITH JAMES BROWN. The multiple Emmy Award-winning broadcaster draws big-name athletes and celebrities to discuss their lives and careers in a one-hour behind-the-scenes interview show. The new quarterly program premieres Sunday, May 9 at 9:00 PM local time, and each show is formatted to have either four or five original segments.

Brown hosts the show, and, in addition to performing his own interviews, uses fellow FSN and FOX Sports personalities as correspondents and reporters to go beyond the traditional sit-down interview. In the first installment of the series, Max Kellerman, host of FSN’s new I, MAX, goes one-on-one with, and actually spars with, boxing superstar Roy Jones, Jr., while FSN’s new NFL insider/reporter Jay Glazer takes on new Raiders defensive end Warren Sapp as he says goodbye to Tampa and hello to Oakland. Rarely have athletes like these made themselves available for interviews on their own turf while responding to tough questions. Their answers are sure to make headlines.

“James Brown is one of the most respected personalities in all of sports television, and FSN is honored to have him host this series of specials for us,” said George Greenberg, FSN’s Executive Vice President of Programming and Production. “His credibility in the business will attract a quality of guests that is second to none, and we’re looking forward to using his many talented FOX colleagues as the show’s arms and legs.”

Brown is best known as the host of FOX NFL SUNDAY, America’s most-watched NFL pregame show, where he earned two consecutive Sports Emmy Awards as Outstanding Personality, Studio Host in 1998 and 1999. Brown also hosts the nationally syndicated “James Brown Show” radio program on Sporting News radio.

FSN continues to produce the best in original sports programming. Regionally produced, national magazine show FOX SPORTS NET ACROSS AMERICA scours the country for the best sports stories with the broadest appeal. On May 10, at 6:00 PM local, FSN debuts I, MAX, a daily sports talk show hosted by the loquacious Max Kellerman. A cross between O’Reilly Factor and The Daily Show, I, MAX is sure to get people talking. THE SPORTS LIST, a top-12 countdown of the greatest sports arguments about the players, events and games in sports history premieres on July 14. Olympian Summer Sanders counts down the lists.
