Chicago Bulls Basketball Returns To Fox Sports Net With Big 48-Game Schedule, Plus Pre/Post-Game Coverage

Schedule Includes Five Pre-Season Games beginning October 17 vs. Washington

(CHICAGO) – Last season’s NBA “Co-Rookie of the Year” Elton Brand is joined by a top rookie class featuring Marcus Fizer, Jamal Crawford, Khalid El-Amin, plus veteran standout Ron Mercer, for an exciting new season of Chicago Bulls basketball on FOX Sports Net. This season, fans can look forward to 48 Bulls telecasts (five pre-season and 43 regular season) on FOX Sports Net, once again the most Bulls games covered by any network. The first of 43 regular season Bulls games can be seen on Friday, November 3 at 7:30 PM, when the Bulls host #1 NBA Draft pick Kenyon Martin and the New Jersey Nets.


Prior to the start of the regular season, FOX Sports Net will carry five pre-season games, beginning Tuesday, October 17 at 7:30 PM when the Bulls host the Washington Wizards from the United Center. Additional pre-season games include match-ups against the Atlanta Hawks (October 19), Boston Celtics (October 20 from Rockford, IL), Milwaukee Bucks (October 25) and Indiana Pacers (October 26 from South Bend, IN).


FOX Sports Net’s unrivaled coverage of the Bulls is led by the veteran announcing tandem of Tom Dore and Johnny “Red” Kerr. Eric Collins will once again handle sideline reports for all Bulls home games. Chicago Sports Tonight, featuring the studio tandem of Eric Goodman and Bulls legend Norm Van Lier, will air a half-hour prior to every Bulls telecast on FSN. Goodman and Van Lier will also host half-time intermissions and Chicago Sports Tonight Bulls post-game coverage. Plus, the 11PM Regional Sports Report will provide viewers with the most complete post-game recaps and player interviews from every Bulls game nightly on FOX Sports Net.

This season’s Bulls schedule on FOX Sports Net includes 23 home games and 20 road match-ups during the regular season. A schedule breakdown includes 27 games against Eastern Conference opponents, an early season battle against the new-look Orlando Magic (Nov. 9), the very first meeting against Shaquille O’Neal and the defending NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers (Nov. 19), a pair of games against perennial Eastern Conference favorite New York Knicks (Dec. 29 & Mar. 2) and a home match-up against Reggie Miller and the defending Eastern Conference champion Indiana Pacers (Dec. 19).


Additional highlights include a Sunday afternoon road battle against scoring powerhouse Vince Carter and the Toronto Raptors (Nov. 26), a home match-up against Tim Duncan, David Robinson and the San Antonio Spurs (Dec. 28), a road and home game vs. Allen Iverson, Toni Kukoc and the Philadelphia 76ers (Jan. 17 & Mar. 14), a home match-up against Scottie Pippen and Western Conference standout Portland Trailblazers (Jan. 23), plus a “homecoming” game for local high school stars Quentin Richardson, Darius Miles and Corey Maggette of the Los Angeles Clippers (Feb. 22).


Three regular season Bulls games are currently scheduled to be telecast on FSN+ (see attached schedule). FSN+ telecasts are provided to FOX Sports Net affiliates and distributed to viewers when two live events are scheduled simultaneously.


Through a cooperative agreement with CLTV, inner market cable operators are given the opportunity to place FSN+ games on CLTV. Cable operators who do not carry CLTV will place FSN+ telecasts on a to-be-determined channel.
