Comcast and Cox Lead MSO Sign-Up for AMC’s Monsterfest 2003

CHICAGO, IL, JUNE 9, 2003 — Cox Communications and Comcast are the first two MSOs to sign up for AMC’s annual programming and affiliate marketing event, MonsterFest, it was announced today by Kim Martin, Executive Vice President, Distribution and Affiliate Marketing, AMC Networks. This is Cox’s first national level participation in MonsterFest. This is Comcast’s fourth annual commitment to the Halloween event. The two MSOs combined account for nearly 30 million subscribers.


For national MSO commitments, AMC offers participants exclusive co-branded opportunities, including sweepstakes and prizing, marketing materials, retail partnerships, in-market advertising and customized online collateral, including games, screensavers, splash pages and banner ads. The multi-level promotion also helps MSOs deliver a customized high-speed sales message to consumers.


“Over the past seven years, MonsterFest has proven to be a hugely successful programming and marketing tent pole event for AMC and its affiliates,” said Kim Martin. “This year’s promotion will build on the success of the `TV for Movie People’ campaign while supporting the marketing goals of participating affiliates.”
