LAS VEGAS, NV, May, 7, 2007 – Today, the first day of the 2007 Cable Show, Rainbow Media announced a series of new programming and brand initiatives. Today’s announcements are part of a broad strategic plan by Rainbow specifically for this Show, which includes corporate marketing initiatives, affiliate outreach, panel appearances and booth activities.

With the constant evolution of technological developments offering operators greater content opportunities, Rainbow’s focus at the show this year will be on defining the company’s rich array of content tiers as a valuable consumer proposition in an increasingly competitive industry. As part of this effort, Rainbow continues to leverage its leadership position in both VOD and HD to add value to its partner’s offerings.

Those attending the 2007 Cable Show are invited to visit booth #4064 for a demonstration of Rainbow’s new multi-platform content specifically designed to enhance an operator’s consumer offering.

AMC PRESENTS: THE CABLE INDUSTRY’S FAVORITE CLASSIC MOVIE OF EACH DECADE (1940s-1980s).

AMC, cable’s premiere destination dedicated to movies and movie culture will host a contest for attendees at the conference to vote on their favorite classic movie from five different decades of film. Visitors will cast their vote at the AMC booth and the results will be announced on May 9th. All voters will receive a classic movie on DVD for stopping by the booth and voting for their favorite movie. Voting hours are Monday, 5/7 3:00 – 5:00 PM and Tuesday, 5/8 11:00-2:00PM

VOOM HD NETWORKS PRESENTS: HDTV TELEVISON GIVEAWAY
VOOM HD Networks, the largest suite of high-definition channels available anywhere, will hold a raffle on Monday, May 7th and Tuesday, May 8th where visitors can stop by and drop off a business card to enter to win a free HDTV television. A winner will be selected at random at a drawing on Tuesday, May 8th between 2:30pm and 3:00pm. Produced exclusively in high definition for distribution in the United States through satellite and cable operators, VOOM HD Networks carry programming in categories as diverse as sports, movies, fashion, music and art, and were developed to meet the growing demand for quality high-definition programming.

WE tv raked in recent record delivery successes with February 2007 and March 2007 ranking as the strongest February and March in network history and April 2007 pacing to be WE’s strongest April in the Prime 8p-11p daypart in W18-49 & W25-54 deliveries. February 2007 was the strongest February in WE tv’s History in the Prime M-Su 7p-1a & Prime M-Su 8p-11p dayparts for W18-49 & W25-54 deliveries. AMC LAUNCHES NEW PRIMETIME MOVIE FRANCHISE ‘AMC GOLD’
This year, AMC created a series of successful programming franchises, including AMC Hollywood Icon, AMC Celebrates and AMC Complete Collection, designed to dramatically enhance its primetime line up as well as the viewing experience of its audience. These established franchises honor iconic movies and cinematic genres by showcasing specific titles, stars and anniversaries throughout the year. Beginning in October, AMC will further broaden its movie franchise strategy with AMC Gold, which will highlight an epic film that the network believes is essential movie-viewing. By contextualizing its movie broadcasts, the network will continue to fully leverage the value of its vast catalog, provide a viewing atmosphere and destination unique to basic cable, drive appointment television viewing for its movies, and creatively connect iconic titles to various key demographics. Films that will be highlighted in AMC Gold include: Sergeant York, On the Waterfront, From Here to Eternity, Witness, Apollo 13, and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

IFC AND COMCAST TO LAUNCH NATIONWIDE INDEPENDENT FILM TOUR
This summer, IFC and Comcast will bring the IFC Free Film Fest – a state-of-the-art, multimedia independent film tour to ten cities, starting in Comcast’s hometown of Philadelphia on July 10th. For three consecutive days within each city, IFC and Comcast will invite local residents to enjoy a fun and multifaceted, independent film experience. Open to the public at no cost, the Tour will screen uncut indie films within a high-tech outdoor mini-entertainment complex and will also include the IFC Media Lab Lounge, a showcase for local filmmaking talent. The IFC Free Film Fest adds a new dimension to the network’s mission to make indie films more accessible to movie-goers across the country and seek new ways to expand the audience for independent filmmakers. IFC’s ‘tv,uncut’ mantra will ring true with uncut screenings of each of the three films including the Coen Brothers cult hit, Raising Arizona; the family-friendly fairy tale classic The Princess Bride; as well as the unconventionally humorous Napoleon Dynamite. All films will be shown on a 40′ x 20′ inflatable air screen constructed specifically by IFC for the tour. The films will begin at dusk, following a variety of pre-show activities

IFC ENTERTAINMENT TO DISTRIBUTE BOSS OF IT ALL and PIERREPOINT UNDER DAY AND DATE BANNER
IFC Entertainment announced today two films to join its groundbreaking day and date distribution banner IFC In Theatres, where films simultaneously premiere theatrically and on local cable’s On Demand platform. In Theaters remains the first and only film distribution label fully dedicated to the day and date concept providing a centralized national art house for independent cinema, giving a strong voice to many critically acclaimed independent films. IFC In Theaters has released twenty-four films Day and Date. Recent IFC In Theatres films include: The Aura, The Wind that Shakes the Barley, Family Law, An Unreasonable Man and Close to Home.The films include the acquisition of Lars Von Trier’s The Boss of it All, a drama set to be released on May 23rd, about a business man who invents a nonexistent company president to hide behind unpopular steps taken in his firm. The plot unfolds when he is faced with a customer who demands to see the president, and he is suddenly caught in his own lie. The other title, Pierrepoint, first premiered at The Toronto International Film Festival and is about the devastating, true-life story of Albert Pierrepoint, Britain’s most notorious hangman. Following in the footsteps of his father and uncle before him, Albert joins the ‘family business’ in 1934 where he rises through the ranks to become the most feared and respected executioner in the country, hanging over 450 people before his sudden resignation in 1956. Pierrepoint premieres in June.

VOOM ACQUIRES ORIGINAL SERIES FROM DECODE ENTERTAINMENT
VOOM HD Networks acquired original series Naturally Sadie and Urban Vermin from Decode Entertainment, one of the largest international suppliers of television and interactive programming targeting children and pre-teens. Naturally Sadie is 13 half- hours targeting children 8 through 12 years of age featuring Sadie Hawthorne, a high school student and budding naturalist, who is extremely passionate about global and ecological changes. The series will air on VOOM’s Family Room a channel solely dedicated to movies and entertainment for the whole family. Urban Vermin is 26 half-hours that follow the misadventures of raccoon siblings Abe and Ken who each lead a band of critters in a turf war. This series will air on VOOM’s Animania HD, a channel solely dedicated to animation where cartoon worlds take on astonishing depth and detail. Both series will premiere in June of 2007.
