FORT MYERS, FL (2/18/04) — DiamondHead Resort, the crowned jewel of Fort Myers Beach, will host Fox Sports Net New England (FSN) and it's live show Mohegan Sun New England Sports Tonight Presented by the Boston Herald, for an entire week beginning Monday, February 23. FSN will telecast New England Sports Tonight (NEST) live from locations throughout DiamondHead at 6:30 and 10 p.m. each night.
During the live telecasts, FSN will host studio audiences for the first time in NEST's history. Each NEST will be followed by poolside receptions for fans to meet hosts Gary Tanguay and Greg Dickerson.
"New Englanders are passionate about the Red Sox and we expect DiamondHead to receive a tremendous amount of exposure with fans traveling to Fort Myers to see the Sox or taking a vacation in Florida," said Liane Crawford-Smith, manager of marketing services for SunStream Hotels & Resorts.
To be part of the studio audiences, fans should locate the FSN representative in the DiamondHead lobby 45 minutes before each show. DiamondHead Resort is located 2000 Estero Boulevard on Fort Myers Beach.
Gary & Greg have hosted NEST for the past two years and most recently reported live from Houston, Texas, site of Super Bowl XXXVIII. FSN's coverage will feature interviews with Red Sox GM Theo Epstein and Red Sox players as well as analysis from Boston area beat writers, including Steve Buckley and Tony Massarotti of the Boston Herald .
