"Dinner For Five" Season Two Serves Up Next Course

Seven New Episodes Premiere Monday, September 8 at 8:00PM (ET/PT)

The Independent Film Channel's (IFC) critically acclaimed signature series DINNER FOR FIVE, created and hosted by Jon Favreau (Made and Elf), airs seven new episodes for its second season beginning Monday, September 8 at 8:00PM (ET/PT) with guests Vince Vaughn (Old School), Cole Hauser (2 Fast 2 Furious), the original "Hannibal" Brian Cox (X2) and Rory Cochrane (C.S.I.: Miami).

DINNER FOR FIVE, loosely based on the famed Algonquin Roundtable, seats screen legends next to a variety of personalities from film, television, music and comedy, resulting in an unpredictable evening of food and banter. The spontaneous show format is an open forum for guests to let their hair down, chat about life on and off the set and swap stories about projects past and present. Season Three began production this summer and is scheduled to premiere First Quarter 2004.

Airing Monday evenings at 8:00PM (ET/PT) beginning September 8, the schedule for the next entrées of Season Two is as follows:


  • September 8: Vince Vaughn (Old School), Cole Hauser (2 Fast 2 Furious), the original "Hannibal" Brian Cox (X2) and Rory Cochrane (C.S.I.: Miami);
  • September 15: IFC Films' Casa De Los Babys, which includes director John Sayles (Lone Star), Maggie Gyllenhaal (Secretary), Lili Taylor (Six Feet Under) and Vanessa Martinez (Limbo);
  • September 22: Fran Drescher (The Nanny), director John Landis (Blues Brothers), Leland Orser (Saving Private Ryan) and comedian David Allen Grier (Life with Bonnie);
  • September 29: A girls' night out with Cathy Moriarty (Raging Bull), Beverly D'Angelo (Vacation), Rosie Perez (Do the Right Thing) and Catherine Kellner (Pearl Harbor);
  • October 6: Featuring the cast from Jon's upcoming film Elf, James Caan (The Godfather), Will Ferrell (Old School), Mary Steenburgen (I Am Sam) and Zooey Deschanel (Manic);
  • October 13: Scheduled to appear, the cast of IFC Productions' upcoming release Pieces of April, Sean Hayes (Will and Grace), Katie Holmes (Wonder Boys), Patricia Clarkson (Far From Heaven) and Oliver Platt (Don't Say A Word);
  • October 20: Famke Janssen (X2), actor/director Peter Berg (The Rundown), Paul Rudd (The Shape of Things) and Freaks and Geeks creator/director Judd Apatow.

    Favreau's Daredevil co-stars Ben Affleck (Gigli), Jennifer Garner (ABC's Alias), Colin Farrell (S.W.A.T. ) and director Kevin Smith (Clerks) kicked off Season Two earlier this year.
