Fox Sports Net Announces 2000 Chicago Fire Schedule

Eleven Big Road Games, Plus the April 15 Home Opener among Highlights!

– The Chicago Fire and FOX Sports Net are back together for a third-straight season of exciting Major League Soccer action. Led by team captain Peter Nowak, along with veteran standouts Ante Razov, Zach Thornton and rookie sensation DeMarcus Beasley, the Fire look to capture its second MLS Cup championship in 2000. FOX Sports Net – the local home of the Fire – will be there all season long with 12 regular season contests, the most Fire games covered by any local or national network.


FOX Sports Net kicks off the 2000 Fire season on Saturday, March 25 at 7:30 PM on FSN+, when the Fire travel to face Western Conference rival, the Kansas City Wizards. On Saturday, April 15 at 7:00 PM, FOX Sports Net will also carry the regular season home opener live from Soldier Field, as the Fire host the Miami Fusion. FOX Sports Net’s Fire announce team of Brian Davis and Kenny Stern call the action all season long.

Additional highlights from this season’s Fire schedule on FOX Sports Net include two road match-ups against Eastern Conference contender Columbus Crew (Apr. 1 & Sept. 9), a key match-up against three-time MLS Cup champion D.C. United (Apr. 8), a possible Western Conference Finals preview against the Los Angeles Galaxy (June 21) and a pair of games against the up-and-coming Colorado Rapids (July 4 & July 22).
