Fox Sports Net Florida Announces 2003 – 2004 Florida Panthers Telecast Schedule

Regional Net Provides Exclusive TV Coverage for 75 Panthers Games

(SUNRISE, FL) – Fox Sports Net Florida today announced a 75-game television schedule for the 2003-2004 NHL season (complete schedule follows). Fox Sports Net's Senior Vice President and General Manager, Jeff Genthner, made the announcement.

As the exclusive television home of the Florida Panthers, Fox Sports Net Florida will air a total of 39 home and 36 away match ups. Viewers will be able to catch the Panthers in action against the 2002-2003 Stanley Cup Champion New Jersey Devils, last year's Cinderella finalist, Anaheim Mighty Ducks, and conference rivals New York Islanders, New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers.

"This is a young and energetic Panthers team with a lot of ice time experience and we're looking forward to bringing some very exciting hockey games to our viewers this coming season," said Genthner. "With Jeff Rimer's energetic game call, Denis Potvin's Hall of Fame perspective and the addition of Craig Minervini's pre-game coverage, Fox Sports Net will provide more Panthers coverage and greater insight than ever before."

Fox Sports Net's complete coverage of the 2003 – 2004 NHL season begins on Thursday, October 9 at 7:30pm when the Panthers face-off at home against the Carolina Hurricanes. The only television broadcast team in Panther's history, veteran play-by-play announcer, Jeff Rimer and Hockey Hall of Famer and four-time Stanley Cup captain, color analyst, Denis Potvin are back to call the action. Rimer and Potvin return for their eleventh season and will be joined by newly announced co-host, Craig Minervini, for added perspective during PANTHERS PREVIEW, the 30-minute pre-game show preceding every game telecast.

"The Panthers are delighted to continue our partnership with Fox Sports Net Florida," said Jeff Cogen, Chief Operating Officer for the Florida Panthers. "The game productions are second-to-none and we are pleased to have our games available in almost 2.6 million households in South Florida. With several new roster additions and the return of young stars like Olli Jokinen, Jay Bouwmeester, and Roberto Luongo, our team is poised to battle for the top spot in the Southeast Division."

Additional coverage of the Panthers on Fox Sports Net includes a 30-minute pre-season preview of the Cats, hosted by Craig Minervini, which airs Wednesday, October 1 at 7:30pm. The weekly 30-minute magazine show, INSIDE THE PANTHERS, also hosted by Minervini, returns to Fox Sports Net and will air every Saturday morning beginning Saturday, October 11 at 11:30am. Fox Sports Net's complete Panthers telecast schedule is attached. All game telecasts will be preceded by a 30-minute pre-game show, PANTHERS PREVIEW, unless otherwise noted.
