Boston, MA – May 3, 2000 – FOX Sports Net New England today announced that it will debut REGIONAL SPORTS REPORT on Monday, July 31, 2000. The show represents a bold new format in regional sports programming delivering live regional sports news nightly at 11:00 PM. Soon after the network will add another wholly original half-hour at 6:30 PM giving New England sports fans a full hour of daily local sports news. David Woodman, senior vice-president and general manager, FOX Sports Net New England, made the announcement.
The REGIONAL SPORTS REPORT will provide a comprehensive look at the world of sports from a regional perspective. The format provides for heavy emphasis on key local stories, and also includes important national stories and how they effect local fans. REGIONAL SPORTS REPORT will follow FOX Sports Net’s NATIONAL SPORTS REPORT, which airs at 10:00 PM.
The new initiative strengthens FOX Sports Net’s commitment to being the ultimate source for regional sports. REGIONAL SPORTS REPORT will be immediately followed at 11:30 PM by “The Last Word with Jim Rome.”
