BOSTON CELTICS
The C’s magic number is two to clinch a surprising playoff berth for the third consecutive year. On Monday, April 12, Fox Sports Net (FSN) will have insight from the men who control the fate of the Green, CEO & Managing Partner Wyc Grousbeck and Executive Director of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge.

Ainge will appear with Gary Tanguay and Greg Dickerson on Mohegan Sun New England Sports Tonight presented by the Boston Herald (NEST) at 6:30 p.m. Grousbeck is scheduled to sit with Tommy Heinsohn and Mike Gorman during the game in the second quarter.

Wednesday’s game versus Atlanta will also feature highlights from the Fan of the Year Finals. Three finalists, Edward Gomes of Attleboro, Josh Farber of Windsor, CT and Amy Foss of Keene, New Hampshire, will compete on Center Court for the right to be named the Celtics Fan of the Year. BEST DAMN SPORTS SHOW PERIOD!
Fox Sports Net (FSN) is welcoming the Best Damn Sports Show Period! (BDSSP) to Boston for a special show taping inside Fenway Park prior to the Red Sox-Yankee game on Friday, April 16. Host Chris Rose along with
co-hosts Leeann Tweeden and former NBA star John Salley will have interviews with current Red Sox and Yankee players, Red Sox legends and celebrities from the field.

Taping is scheduled for April 16 from 2 to 5 p.m. along the first baseline of Fenway Park. More details on guests to follow the week of April 11. The 90-minute nightly telecast appears on FSN in New England at 8 and 11 p.m.

BEYOND THE GLORY
Fox Sports Net’s award-winning documentary series, BEYOND THE GLORY, continues with a new episode profiling NBA MVP candidate Kevin Garnett. Nicknamed “The Kid,” Garnett’s success in jumping straight from high school to the pros opened the floodgates for the likes of Kobe Bryant, Jermaine O’Neal, LeBron James and dozens of others. In this episode, BTG tells the story of how the heart of the Minnesota Timberwolves franchise went from a lanky kid in South Carolina to a star on the world’s biggest hoops stage. BEYOND THE GLORY: KEVIN GARNETT airs Sun., April 11 at 8:00 PM local.

FSN’s sports magazine shows comprised of the best local stories with national appeal, produced by FSN’s regional sports networks, continues on Sunday with an all-new episode. The 30-minute show highlights players, coaches, events and the biggest news from the world of sports. The show airs at 9:00 PM local. Carolyn Hughes hosts the show and each week noted Chicago Sun-Times columnist Rick Telander offers commentary on the most pressing issues in the sports world in a segment titled: “An audible…from Rick Telander.”

Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez: former rivals on the field are now united in pinstripes. As the Yankees and Red Sox prepare for their first meeting on April 16th, the dynamic duo sits down together to discuss the rivalry with Boston and the lofty expectations fans have for the Bronx bombers this season. FSN’s Kevin Kennedy reports.

Golf fans have traditionally been known to be respectful and quiet. But now, there’s a new breed of fan in the game, a little more vocal and a lot more rowdy. Many say it’s the new breed of fan that Tiger Woods has brought to the game. It reached a pinnacle at the Phoenix Open. It is good or bad for the sport? FSN Arizona’s Sean Mooney reports on the new side of the golf fan.

Maurice Stokes was an NBA player who was paralyzed after a fall in during a game in 1958. His parents couldn’t afford the time or expense to care for Stokes round the clock. Teammate and former boyhood rival Jack Twyman stepped in became Stokes legal guardian and took care of him. Stokes died in 1970, but ever since Twyman has been campaigning for Stokes’ election to the Hall of fame. Finally, that determination has paid off: Maurice Stokes was one of was one of six former players, coaches and team executives announced Monday as the newest members of the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass. Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh’s Pat Parris has the amazing story of friendship and perseverance.

Whatever happened to…: Our weekly segment catches up with some of the more memorable names in sports and you might be surprised to see what they’re up to now. This week we tracked former NFL head coach Buddy Ryan. The once fiery coach has gone from the sidelines to the stables, enjoying his life on his farm in Kentucky.

“An audible from Rick Telander“: In this week’s commentary, Telander takes a look at some of the strange rules and violations in the game of golf. With the Masters finishing up on Sun., Telander focuses on why golf history is riddled with disastrous rules.

SUNDAY NIGHT FIGHTS
Fox Sports Net’s popular boxing series SUNDAY NIGHT FIGHTS continues, combining exciting original bouts and encore presentations of match-ups first seen only on pay-per-view.

This week’s SUNDAY NIGHT FIGHTS airs at 7:00 PM local time with the first over the air telecast of the pay-per-view bout of the heavyweight battle between Hasim Rahman and John Ruiz from Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ, which took place on Dec. 13, 2003.

Outspoken and colorful boxing analyst Max Kellerman and veteran announcer Barry Tompkins return on April 25 to call the match-up from Miccosukee Resort & Gaming in Miami, Fl.
