Fox Sports Net Ohio Announces Cincinnati Reds 100-Game Television Schedule

Ohio’s Leading Sports TV Network Expands its Commitment to Reds Baseball with an Additional 15 Games and New Post Game Show

CINCINNATI – Providing fans the best in regional sports television and the most comprehensive coverage of Cincinnati Reds baseball, Fox Sports Net Ohio today announced it will telecast 100 Cincinnati Reds games during the 2003 season. Steve Liverani, senior vice president and general manager, Fox Sports Net Ohio, made the announcement.

The Reds regular season on Fox Sports Net Ohio begins with the season opener on Monday, March 31 at 4:00 PM as they take on the Pittsburgh Pirates.

New this season on Fox Sports Net is Reds Wrap, presented by Gold Star Chili. Reds Wrap is a post-game show featuring highlights, interviews and analysis immediately following each telecast. Jeff Piecoro hosts the show following home games at the Great American Ball Park. George Grande and Chris Welsh team up to host the show from the road.

Back this season is Real Reds, providing fans with commentary, features and in-depth pregame coverage of the Cincinnati Reds, 30 minutes prior to every game telecast.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to increase our commitment to Reds baseball,” said Liverani. “We’re proud to expand our already unparalleled coverage of the team, and welcome the addition of a post-game show to our new 100-game line up.”

2003 marks the 11th year George Grande and Chris Welsh have teamed up to call Reds games – making them the longest-running television team in Reds broadcast history. Grande is responsible for the play-by-play duties, as Welsh provides the color commentary.

Reds games are directed and produced by Mark Goldsmith and Mark Balk. Brian Hunterman produces Real Reds.
