FOX Sports Net’s 2000 College Football Schedule Kicks Off This Saturday

(SUNRISE, FL) – FOX Sports Net Florida’s comprehensive 58-game NCAA football coverage begins this Saturday, Aug. 26th with six hours of programming dedicated to college football fans.


The action begins at 10am with the season debut of SATURDAY MORNING COLLEGE KICKOFF. Hosts Frank Frangie, Brady Ackerman and Terry Norvelle preview the upcoming season and each week they take viewers around the state for a look at the day’s match-ups featuring the Hurricanes, Seminoles, Gators, Bulls, Knights, Wildcats, Rattlers and JU Dolphins.


At 11am Hurricanes fans won’t want to miss a special UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI FOOTBALL PREVIEW, hosted by 11PM REGIONAL SPORTS REPORT’S Joe Zagacki, featuring special player interviews and a one-on-one with Coach Butch Davis. The special will also be replayed that same day at 5:30pm. FOX Sports Net will bring Hurricanes fans 11 UM tape-delayed telecasts either on Sunday or Monday evenings following each game beginning with the Hurricanes home opener against McNeese State.


Nationally-known COLLEGE FOOTBALL SATURDAY, with hosts Kevin Frazier and NFL Hall of Famer Kellen Winslow, debuts this Saturday at 1:30pm as a preview to the 2:00pm live telecast of the Eddie Robinson Classic featuring Kansas State vs. Iowa. Beginning September 2nd, COLLEGE FOOTBALL SATURDAY will air each week at 11:30am bringing college football fans an in-depth look around the world of college football with analysis and review of upcoming games and key rivalries.


FOX Sports Net will also bring USF Bulls fans six live and tape-delayed telecasts of the upcoming season beginning with the Bulls first road trip against Kentucky. Fans can stay on top of the latest Bulls news with The Jim Leavitt Show Saturday’s at 9:30am beginning September 2.


Notre Dame fans will once again get the chance to follow the Fighting Irish with seven tape-delayed games on select Mondays at 1pm, including the Notre Dame vs. Navy matchup being played this year at Orlando’s Citrus Bowl.


FOX Sports Net will showcase a minimum of 34 key Big 10, C-USA, Big 12, PAC-10, WAC and Big East match ups during the season beginning with this Saturday’s Eddie Robinson Classic.


Two new live FOX Sports Net shows keep college football fans and Florida sports fans on top of the latest news around the state with the most in-depth, up-to-the-minute sports news. Seven nights a week, viewers can count on the 11PM REGIONAL SPORTS REPORT with anchors Ned Smith, Keith Lebowitz and Randy McIlvoy along with South Florida reporter Joe Zagacki, Central Florida reporter Sage Steele and North Florida reporter Mike Nabors. FLORIDA SPORTS TONIGHT brings Florida sports fans a round up of the day’s top sports news weeknight’s at 7pm, when there is no MLB or NHL live telecast scheduled at that time.
