SAN FRANCISCO, CA — FSN Bay Area and Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) announced today the FSN Bay Area Collectors’ Series promotion. FSN Bay Area and BART will produce baseball card themed BART tickets for the remainder of the 2005 Major League Baseball season. Starting today (Monday, July 11th) through the end of September, the FSN Bay Area Collectors’ Series will feature the network’s baseball telecast schedule and select San Francisco Giants and Oakland Athletics players printed on BART tickets. The announcement was made by Jeff Krolik, Senior Vice President and General Manager, FSN Bay Area.

For the first time in BART’s 33-year history, an advertisement will be printed on BART tickets. Over 1.5 million FSN Bay Area/BART baseball themed BART tickets will be available system-wide to commuters. Each card will list player information and FSN Bay Area’s schedule for the month in which the tickets are issued. Four different cards per month will be released, two cards featuring Giants players and two cards featuring Athletics players.

FSN Bay Area Collectors’ Series promotion begins in July with Giants Kirk Rueter and J.T. Snow and Athletics Bobby Crosby and Barry Zito. Giants Jason Schmidt and Ray Durham and Athletics Mark Kotsay and Nick Swisher will appear on the cards in August. Giants Moises Alou and Pedro Feliz and Athletics Rich Harden and Eric Chavez will end the season in September.

“FSN Bay Area is pleased to partner with BART for this unique, first-ever ticket advertisement promotion, ” said Krolik. “We’re confident that the FSN Bay Area Collectors’ Series will be a hit with BART commuters and fans.”
