fuse Gets Personal With One of Today's Hottest Bands – The White Stripes

Tune In to fuse’s 100% on Monday, November 21st at 9PM ET

New York, NY (November 3, 2005) – fuse, the nation’s only all-music, viewer-driven network today announced that it will premiere an exclusive sit down with the White Stripes on 100%. The series, dedicated to showcasing intimate and candid interviews with artists and bands, while playing some of their quintessential videos, can only be seen on fuse. Tune in to 100%: White Stripes on Monday, November 21st at 9PM ET as Jack and Meg of the White Stripes discuss their unique union, inspirations and most importantly – their music.

Straight from Southwest Detroit and best known for their minimalist sound built on basic drums (Meg White) and guitar (Jack White), the White Stripes joined forces in 1997. In fuse’s 100%: White Stripes, the band reveals what role they play in creating their videos, what Jack did in his former life, why James Bond is a theme throughout their music, and the significance behind the number three.

“How does one go from being accepted into the seminary, to owning an upholstery business, to becoming the front man in a band based out of Detroit,” asks Robert Weiss, head of entertainment for fuse. “It’s this type of insider information that makes our 100% franchise so popular. There aren’t many networks out there that are able to truly capture the essence of the artist ? but this is one of those series, and it’s a must watch.”

Inspired by Detroit’s musical legends, dedicated to folk and blues based in rock, the White Stripes have maintained an immensely loyal fan base by staying true to their bare bones approach. In 100%, viewers will discover front man Jack’s ability to morph multiple styles into his songs, while Meg, who learned drumming in the confines of the band, provides a purity that rounds out the band’s individual style.
