Fuse Honored 13th Annual Music Video Production Association Music Video Awards

Network Will Be Recognized for Supporting Artistic Expression

(New York, NY – May 19, 2004) The 13th Annual Music Video Production Association (MVPA) Music Video Awards will recognize Fuse – the nation's only viewer-driven, all-music network – for its support of the music video art form and the network's willingness to play videos as the artists' intended.

The network will be feted alongside filmmakers and music video directors Michel Gondry ("Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind;" music videos for Bjork, The White Stripes, Radiohead), Spike Jonze ("Being John Malkovich;" "Adaptation;" music videos for Beastie Boys, Weezer, Fatboy Slim) and David Fincher ("Panic Room;" "Fight Club;" music videos for Madonna, The Rolling Stones, Sting). Fuse President Marc Juris will accept the honor at the star-studded event this Thursday, May 20th at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles.

"It is a great honor to be recognized by the creative community of filmmakers, artists and record labels," said Marc Juris, President of Fuse "Fuse is committed to ensuring that the great work these artists will continue to find an audience on our network."

"The MVPA is recognizing Fuse its support of artistic expression and the music video art form," said Andrea Clark, Executive Director of the MVPA. "As other channels focus on programming other than videos, it is so important to our community to find new avenues of distribution."

The MVPA (www.mvpa.com) was created to recognize music video as an art form, ensuring that the industry maintains a high standard of professionalism and artistic excellence by honoring the best of its visionaries and their work from year to year. The nominees are selected and judged by their peers, who review hundreds of videos submitted for consideration.
