NEW YORK, NY, June 1, 2004 – The Mary Hart of the amped up world of metal music, Fuse's outspoken Juliya, is packing up her sunblock and gothic attire to provide a look at the on-stage sounds and off-stage antics of rock's fastest and hardest in special summer episodes of her weekly show, Uranium.
The most-bleeped and metal-knowledgeable VJ in the world of music television will be profiling an A-list of rock's wildest and woolliest in a programming stunt entitled Uranium's Hell Raisin' Summer Shows. Juliya and Uranium will be backstage and centerstage with all the requisite tours and multi-act festivals for those who like their rock hard and fast this summer. The list is slated to include headliner attractions like the new supergroup Velvet Revolver (featuring Slash and Duff of Guns-n-Roses and Stone Temple Pilots' Scott Weiland), A Perfect Circle and Slipknot, as well as traditional sell-out events like Ozzfest and The New England Metal & Hardcore Festival Party.
"Juliya is as unpredictable and exciting as the music she covers," states Fuse President Marc Juris. "She was just a fan who passionately expressed her opinions about metal in our online community until we decided, with typical Fuse panache, to give her a show. In the three years since Uranium has premiered, Juliya has become a confidante and favorite of the biggest acts in metal music as well as a popular source for passionate perspective and vital information for the devotees of hard-edged rock.
"With Uranium's Hell Raisin' Summer Shows she will really be in her element," adds Juris, "giving metal fans the up-close and personal from the mosh pit to the post-concert blowout."
Uranium airs Monday through Friday from 8:00 – 8:30 pm on Fuse. The half-hour summer specials will premiere ever Friday at 8 PM beginning June 4. Following are some highlights of the slated line-up:
- June 4: Slipknot at Electric Factory
