NEW YORK, NY, August 14, 2012 — IFC announced today that Marie Moore has been promoted to senior vice president of public relations, up from vice president. Moore oversees the development and implementation of IFC’s consumer media relations strategies for program publicity and talent relations, translating network goals across all platforms to drive brand awareness, tune-in and web traffic. She is credited with building award winning PR campaigns for the network’s line up of scripted comedies, including the network’s most-watched series, the Emmy® Award nominated Portlandia, as well as Comedy Bang! Bang!, Bunk, Whisker Wars and the Emmy-nominated documentary, Monty Python: Almost the Truth (the Lawyer’s Cut).
Based in New York, she continues to report to Ellen Kroner, AMC Networks’ executive vice president of corporate communications and marketing.
“Marie has proven herself to be a leader in creating and executing strategic multimedia publicity campaigns that foster awareness of IFC’s distinct brand position, comedic programming and talent roster,” said Kroner. “Her creativity and knowledge has made a huge contribution to IFC’s ongoing success and I’m thrilled to honor her efforts with this promotion.”
Prior to joining IFC, Moore served as vice president of corporate communications for AMC Networks where she oversaw trade and business publicity for IFC and WE tv. She joined the company in 2007 as vice president of public relations for LIFESKOOL and SPORTSKOOL, two on demand networks then owned by AMC Networks.
Prior to joining the company, Moore worked at Cohn & Wolf where she provided strategic counsel to a roster of clients including Joost and ADP. Before that, she was director of media relations, Cable & Communications for Cablevision Systems Corporation where she developed and executed strategic communication plans for all video, data and voice product launches and developments. Moore began her career at Connors Communications where she created, planned and implemented public relations strategies and programs for clients such as Deloitte & Touche, University of Michigan, Priceline and Vonage.
Moore holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Saint Mary’s College of California and a Master of Science degree in Strategic Communications from Columbia University.
