Independent Film Company Acquires Modern Fairy Tale Romance “100 Nights Of Hero”

In Splashy Sale Starring Emma Corrin, Nicholas Galitzine, Maika Monroe, Amir El-Masry, Charli XCX, Richard E. Grant, Felicity Jones

New York – Tuesday, May 13, 2025 – Independent Film Company announced today that they have acquired the North American rights to the buzzy ensemble fairy tale romance 100 NIGHTS OF HERO, the sophomore feature from writer-director Julia Jackman starring Emma Corrin (NOSFERATU), Nicholas Galitzine (THE IDEA OF YOU), Maika Monroe (LONGLEGS), Amir El-Masry (LIMBO), Charli XCX (I WANT YOUR SEX), Richard E. Grant (CAN YOU EVER FORGIVE ME?), and Felicity Jones (THE BRUTALIST). The film is an adaptation of The New York Times best-selling graphic novel The One Hundred Nights Of Hero by Isabel Greenberg, and will receive a wide theatrical release later this year by the Independent Film Company.

In 100 NIGHTS OF HERO, when her neglectful husband departs after placing a secret wager to test her fidelity, Cherry (Monroe) and her sharp-witted maid, Hero (Corrin), must fend off a dangerously seductive visitor: Manfred (Galitzine).

“Making this film has been a longtime dream, ever since I first picked up Isabel Greenberg’s gorgeous graphic novel years ago,” said writer-director Julia Jackman. “It’s been a joy to shape its world and characters into something new, and I’m thrilled it found a home at Independent Film Company. I cannot wait to share it with a broader audience—led by the extraordinary talents of our brilliant ensemble cast.”

Producers Stephanie Aspin, Helen Simmons, and Grant S. Johnson commented, “Independent Film Company is truly an exciting partner. Their recent work, from CORSAGE to LATE NIGHT WITH THE DEVIL, shows how much support they put behind independent movies in a day and age when that is increasingly rare. Scott Shooman’s vision for 100 NIGHTS OF HERO positions this film to flourish, and we couldn’t be happier to partner with them.”

“With 100 NIGHTS OF HERO, Julia Jackman has crafted a lush and defiant fairy tale that pulses with wit, romance, and danger,” said Head of IFC Entertainment Group Scott Shooman. “Boasting a remarkable cast and a rebellious sparkle, the film is exactly the kind of daring filmmaking that we champion. We can’t wait to share it on the big screen.”

100 NIGHTS OF HERO is produced by Stephanie Aspin and Helen Simmons for Erebus Pictures and Grant S. Johnson for Project Infinity. The deal was negotiated by Scott Shooman and Rachael Labes for Independent Film Company and WME Independent, CAA Media Finance and UTA Independent Film Group on behalf of the filmmakers. WME Independent is handling international sales.
